Tennismark & Tennismark+

From 1 October 2018, the LTA will be ceasing to run the Tennismark club accreditation scheme. The introduction of the Minimum Registration Standards replicates many of the most important aspects of the Tennismark criteria in helping registered tennis venues to be safe, welcoming and inclusive.

Why has the LTA ceased Tennismark?

The purpose of Tennismark is to recognise and promote clubs that are safe, friendly and high quality tennis environments.  However, the LTA are unable to quality assure all Tennismark venues to ensure that they are fully adhering to the criteria of Tennismark on an annual basis.  This subsequently presents a significant reputational risk to the LTA in terms of accrediting and promoting venues that have not been fully assessed, particularly when Tennismark is aimed at reassuring parents and young people that the venue is safe and has all the necessary processes for safeguarding in place.
