As the world’s top wheelchair tennis nations come together for the BNP Paribas World Team Cup in Orlando, USA, find out everything you need to know about the 2026 event, who’s playing and how you can watch at home.

What is the World Team Cup?

The World Team Cup is the biggest team competition in wheelchair tennis and is the ITF’s equivalent to the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup.

Following regional qualifiers, teams from across the world will head to the finals event to compete for the title of world team champions.

There are three competitions taking place – men’s, women’s and quad – with nations finishing with an overall position amongst all the competing teams.

When is the World Team Cup 2026?

The 2026 World Team Cup starts from Wednesday 16 September to finals day on Saturday 19 September.

What is the draw & schedule for the World Team Cup 2026?

New for 2026, the World Team Cup will be played as a straight knock-out tournament from the first match – replacing the round-robin format that decided the semi-finalists for the knock-out phase in previous years.

The draws for the 2026 World Team Cup will be made on Tuesday, 15 September, the day before play starts – check back soon for more information.

Where is the World Team Cup being held?

For the first time since 1999, the World Team Cup is heading to the USA at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.

The USTA National Campus boasts 100 tennis courts with the World Team Cup being hosted on the outdoor hard courts at this state-of-the-art facility.

Where did the Great Britain teams finish at the 2025 World Team Cup?

In 2025, Great Britain’s men’s team – including Bartram, Dahnon Ward and Andrew Penney – claimed the bronze medal with a play-off win over France.

The GB quad team also clinched the bronze medal, thanks to a decisive doubles win for Andy Lapthorne and Greg Slade over Australia.

Meanwhile, the women’s team finished in fourth place after losing to France in the bronze medal match.
