LTA Pledgeball League 2026
We’re calling on tennis clubs across the country to come together to help promote environmental sustainability.
The LTA Pledgeball League returns for its fourth year in 2026, encouraging your members to pledge their help to protect the environment and for the chance to win exciting prizes.
What is Pledgeball?
Pledgeball is a research-backed charity that helps sports communities take simple, everyday climate-friendly actions.
Your members make eco‑pledges on behalf of your club, boosting your club’s total carbon savings and climbing the LTA Pledgeball League Table.
How the league works
Every pledge your members make helps your club move up the LTA Pledgeball League Table.
All pledges contribute to your venue’s combined CO₂ equivalent savings. The more your members pledge, the greater your club’s impact and your chance to win.
Pledges are quick, simple actions, such as:
- Reducing waste at home
- Cutting energy use
- Choosing greener travel
- Making more sustainable lifestyle choices
These add up to a powerful collective impact and introduce some friendly competition between clubs.
Did you know?
If all of the LTA's Instagram followers (222,000 followers) bought groceries only from in-country suppliers, the KgC02e savings per year would be the equivalent of taking 11,973 cars off the road for good!
Each month, the top three venues will win sustainability grants:
- 1st Place: £250
- 2nd Place: £150
- 3rd Place: £100
Use your grant for environmentally friendly upgrades such as:
- Water-saving devices
- Court-side water fountains
- Energy-efficient lighting
- Bike racks for greener travel
- Bug hotels, wildflowers & biodiversity projects
- …or your own creative sustainability idea!
Plus: Everyone who makes a pledge is entered into a draw to win tickets to the women's WTA 500 event at the HSBC Championships for the 2027 season.
The league launches 1 May 2026 to coincide with the grass court season.
- Round one: 1 June – 30 June
- Round two: 1 July – 31 July
- Round three: 1 August – 31 August
- Round four: 1 September – 30 September
