Davis Cup 2025: Cam Norrie & Jacob Fearnley in Lexus GB squad against Poland with three debutants
• 4 MINUTE READ
The Lexus GB Davis Cup team has been announced for the World Group I tie against Poland from 12-13 September.
Captain and LTA Head of Men’s Tennis Leon Smith has named a strong five-man team to take on Poland at the Polsat Puls Gdynia – including Cam Norrie, Jacob Fearnley, Arthur Fery, Lloyd Glasspool and Julian Cash.
It’s a first call up for Fery off the back of his first ATP Challenger singles title in Barranquilla as well as ATP doubles world No.1 and No.2 Glasspool and Cash, having won the Wimbledon title in July.
Ahead of Great Britain’s clash with Poland, Smith said: “Away ties are always challenging, and Poland are a strong team. We're under no illusion, it's going to be a tough tie, but I think with our team, we should go with confidence and do everything we can to win this important match.
“There are a number of debutants in the team for this tie but it's a group of players in good form who know each other well and we're all looking forward to getting to Poland and having a great week as a team.”
Great Britain will need to defeat Poland to confirm their place in the 2026 Davis Cup Qualifiers.
The losing team will have to compete in the 2026 Davis Cup World Group I Play-Offs against the best teams from this year’s World Group II.
The tie against Poland will be played as the best of five matches – including four singles and one doubles rubber over two days.

Prior to that, Fery claimed his first career Grand Slam win at Wimbledon – defeating the 2024 National Bank Open ATP Masters 1000 champion Alexei Popyrin in the opening round.
