Vote: Player of the Month March 2024

The success keeps on coming for the British tennis stars and last month saw more career-best titles, ranking risers and qualifications for the World Team Cup.

Now it’s over to you to decide who you think deserves the Player of the Month awards for March.

How does it work?

Every month, three players will be nominated for each of the following categories:

  • Women’s singles
  • Men’s singles
  • Doubles
  • Wheelchair

Voting has now closed, the winners will be revealed shortly.

Women’s singles

Katie Boulter:

  • Won the biggest title of her career at the WTA 500 San Diego Open
  • Defeated four of the top seven seeds en route to the title including Beatriz Haddad Maia, Emma Navarro and Marta Kostyuk
  • Reached the fourth round of the WTA 1000 Miami Open – where she entered as a seeded player for the first time
  • New career-high ranking at world No.27 – first time inside the top 30

Lily Miyazaki:

  • Lifted her joint best title of her career at the W75 Croissy-Beaubourg
  • This marked her second W75 title of the 2024 season so far
  • Made quarter-finals at two other W75 events in Trnava and Maribor
  • Recently reached her best ranking at world No.138

Fran Jones:

  • Returned from injury to make her first WTA 125 final at the San Luis Open
  • Beat four players inside the top 200 and ranked higher than her to reach the final
  • This is the second highest level of final a British women’s singles player has reached this year

Men’s singles

Jack Draper:

  • Reached the semi-final at the ATP 500 in Acapulco
  • Beat Tommy Paul, Yoshihito Nishioka and Miomir Kecmanovic in straight sets before retiring against Alex de Minaur at one set apiece
  • Defeated Taro Daniel to progress to the second round of the Miami Open

Cam Norrie:

  • Made back-to-back third rounds at Indian Wells and Miami Open
  • Claimed wins over Lorenzo Sonego and Flavio Cobolli

Andy Murray:

  • Third round at Miami Open and second round at Indian Wells and Dubai
  • Standout wins against world No.30 Martin Etcheverry and former Wimbledon runner-up Matteo Berrettini

Doubles

Olivia Nicholls:

  • Won two consecutive women’s doubles titles at the ATX Open and WTA 125 Charleston with Olivia Gadecki
  • ATX Open win is the joint best title of her career so far (WTA 250)
  • Lost just one set across the month
  • Risen 16 places to world No.78

Neal Skupski:

  • Finished runner-up at the ATP 500 Acapulco with Santiago Gonzalez
  • This was their second final of the season having only played together for three months

Lloyd Glasspool:

  • Reached three quarter-finals with Dutchman Jean-Julien Rojer – Miami Open, Indian Wells and Dubai
  • Best results were straight sets win over four-time majoe champions Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram in Indian Wells and a 7-6(4), 6-4 victory over Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow in Miami

Wheelchair

Andy Lapthorne:

  • Cajun Classic ITF Super Series doubles champion with David Wagner – beat Guy Sasson and Ymanitu Silva in the final 6-3, 6-2
  • Runner-up at the Georgia Open in singles and the doubles alongside fellow Brit Greg Slade
  • Led Great Britain to World Team Cup qualification going undefeated in four ties

Alfie Hewett:

  • Undefeated in March – winning two singles and one doubles title
  • Hewett kick-started the month by lifting the Georgia Open title – beating the world No.1 Tokito Oda in the final 6-3, 6-2
  • Defeated Oda again in the Cajun Classic final to be crowned champion without dropping a set
  • Joined forces with Gordon Reid to win the Cajun Classic doubles title
  • Back to world No.1 in singles and doubles

Lucy Shuker:

  • Won back-to-back women’s doubles titles at the ITF 2 Busan Open (with Yui Kamiji) and ITF 1 Daegu Open (with Aniek van Koot)
  • Singles quarter-finalist at the Busan Open
