What a start to the season it has been for our British tennis stars!
From the Australian Open to the Lexus GB Pro Series on home soil, the Brits have claimed titles all across the globe. This one's going to a tough decision, but it's time to vote for your Player of the Month for January.
How does it work?
Every month, three players will be nominated for each of the following categories:
- Women’s singles
- Men’s singles
- Doubles
- Wheelchair

Women’s singles
- Made her comeback from long-term injury with a win over Elena Gabriela-Ruse at the ASB Classic
- Reached the second round of the Australian Open – her first major in a year
- Had the biggest result of her career – reaching her first WTA 125 final in Canberra
- Beat four players inside the top 130 to make the final – including two of the top six seeds
- Jumped 17 places in the WTA rankings to world No.103
- Represented GB at the United Cup and claimed standout wins over world No.5 Jessica Pegula and Australian Ajla Tomlijanovic
- Made the second round at the Australian Open – losing out to eventual runner-up Qinwen Zheng
- Came through qualifiers to make the main draw at the Adelaide International
Men’s singles
- Reached a career-best fourth round in the Australian Open men’s singles
- Got his first win over a top 10 player at a major – defeating Casper Ruud
- Quarter-finalist at the ASB Classic in Auckland
- Represented GB at the United Cup – beating Alex De Minaur in his opening match
- Made his second ATP final at the Adelaide International – narrowly losing out to Jiri Lehecka 4-6, 6-4, 6-3
- Won his first five-set match at a Grand Slam against Marcos Giron 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 6-0, 6-2
- Got his first win at the Australian Open
- Risen 10 places to world No.51
- Won his first singles title since 2020 at the M25 Loughborough
- Followed it up by winning the M25 Sunderland a week later – extending his unbeaten run to 10 matches
- Climbed 130 places in the ATP rankings to world No.408
Doubles
- Won his 15th ATP title with Rajeev Ram in his first event of the year in Adelaide
- Reached the third round of the Australian Open
- Lifted his first title in a year in his maiden tournament with Jean-Julien Rojer at the Brisbane International
- Made the third round of the Australian Open
Luke Johnson
- Clinched back-to-back ATP Challenger titles with Skander Mansouri in Nonthaburi and Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve
- Made semi-finals in two events at Nonthaburi at the start of the year
- Broke into the top 100 at a career high of world No.83
Wheelchair
- Won his fifth consecutive Australian Open men’s wheelchair doubles title with Gordon Reid
- Finished runner-up in the Australian Open men’s singles to Japan’s Tokito Oda
- Lifted both singles and doubles trophies at the first ITF Super Series event of the year in Melbourne
- Alongside David Wagner, won his 15th Grand Slam title in the Australian Open quad doubles
- Semi-finalist in the singles and doubles at the Victorian Open
- Melbourne Wheelchair Open quad singles quarter-finalist and doubles semi-finalist
- Clinched a fifth consecutive Australian Open men’s wheelchair doubles title with Alfie Hewett
- Reached the semi-finals in the men’s wheelchair singles at the Australian Open
- Started the season by winning the Melbourne Wheelchair Open doubles title with Hewett
