Tennis Wales unveils their brand new branded reflective/prayer mats
Tennis Wales are pleased to announce their newest partnership with Umbrella Faith headed up by Sadique Maskeen. A Cardiff-based prayer mat company to provide the tennis community with prayer/reflective mats, which can be used wherever and whenever someone may require one.
Sadique Maskeen, founder of Umbrella Faith, started his personalised prayer mat company in 2023 following the birth of his child. Since then, Sadique has been working with businesses and services across South Wales, ensuring more prayer mats are available to those who need them.
The prayer mats, subtly branded with the Tennis Wales logo that has been amended to remove the dragon avatar to ensure they are inclusive and accessible to all religions and faiths were produced following consultation with members and were provided to Tennis Wales by Umbrella Faith.

Stuart Baker at Tennis Wales tells us how “Through our extensive work and consultation with our members, partners and stakeholders, we felt it would be appropriate to offer Tennis Wales branded prayer mats to our tennis communities who observe prayer to recognise the diverse faith and religions living within Wales and within our Welsh tennis membership base.
In addition to being placed at all of our indoor tennis community centres across Wales over the coming months to facilitate our membership base these mats will also be held by our tutors who deliver our coach education courses, our competitions teams to have them available at our events and tournaments held across Wales and with our staff at Tennis Wales to have them to hand when out across Wales and networking events to help showcase the work being done at Tennis Wales to promote our inclusive actions being taken.
As we drive to embrace all communities living in Wales and diversity in our sport by these mats, we hope go some way to foster a sense of inclusion and togetherness with diverse community groups along with creating a workplace where everyone can thrive and find wellbeing.”

Sadique of Umbrella Faith told us “Umbrella Faith was set up because as a Muslim I struggled to find places to pray whilst out networking, attending events and general meetings at offices. The few that had space or a multi-faith room had no prayer mats at all. Therefore, the idea was born to not only create awareness within the workplace but to offer businesses their very own customised prayer mats.”
Having these prayer mats will only strengthen the relationship between Tennis Wales and the communities living in Wales to help build a bond and increase general wellbeing.
