Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski holding their runners-up trophies at Roland Garros

Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski qualify for Nitto ATP Finals

• 1 MINUTE READ

Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski have become the fifth doubles pair to qualify for this year’s Nitto ATP Finals off the back of an impressive year so far.

Salisbury and Skupski - who are wrapping up their first full season as a doubles duo - have both competed in the year-end championships before, but this year’s tournament will mark their debut as a pair.

Salisbury is a two-time Nitto ATP Finals champion having claimed the title in 2022 and 2023 alongside America’s Rajeev Ram, while Skupski’s best run came at the 2022 semi-finals with then-partner Wesley Koolhof.

They join reigning Wimbledon champions and fellow all-British duo Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool and this year’s Australian Open champions Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara, who have all cemented their spots in Turin.

Salisbury and Skupski have enjoyed a successful start to their doubles partnership and have been one of the most consistent pairings on the tour.

They made the finals at both Roland Garros and the US Open, and also finished runners-up at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Canada, the Barcelona Open and in Doha.

Following a standout year, Skupski is now ranked world No.9 while Salisbury sits just behind him at No.10. There are now five British doubles stars ranked inside the world’s top 10 in the ATP doubles rankings.

This year’s Nitto ATP Finals will take place in Turin between 9-16 November.
