British success at the Lexus Ilkley Open
While the Lexus Ilkley Open is yet to crown a British singles champion across either the women’s or men’s singles draw, British players have enjoyed success in the doubles.
In 2026, Freya Christie and Eden Silva lifted the women’s doubles title, while Marcus Willis and David Stevenson claimed the men’s doubles trophy.
This adds to the tournament's history of British doubles success, with all-British doubles duo Julian Cash and Henry Patten lifting the men’s doubles title back in 2022.
The tournament marked the second of 10 ATP Challenger titles that Cash and Patten won that year. They beat Ramkumar Ramanathan and John-Patrick Smith 7-5, 6-4 in the final.

Former champions include former world top-10 player David Goffin (2024) and Márton Fucsovics (2017). On the women’s side, Iva Jovic was crowned champion in 2025, and Magdalena Rybarikova won in 2017 before reaching the Wimbledon semi-finals just weeks later, which shows how good a warm-up Ilkley can be.
