What is the Play Tennis Fund?
The Play Tennis Fund is a small grants funding scheme aimed at supporting the tennis network across Britain in establishing effective local projects to grow tennis participation. Projects can apply for a maximum of £5,000 from the Play Tennis Fund and can target any age group of participants from 12 years of age upwards.
Throughout 2016, we funded over 75 projects to deliver participation growing activities and in 2017 we’d love to fund even more of your innovative projects and ideas.
How do I apply?
The Play Tennis Fund has been temporarily closed due to the overwhelming popularity of the scheme.
The LTA has allocated over £250,000 to support over 100 clubs in growing tennis participation by more than 10,000 new players. We are looking to work with these projects to make sure they are successful before re-opening the Fund later this summer for new applications.
What are the deadlines for applying?
There are a series of Funding Rounds throughout the year. If you get your application in before a particular deadline, we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as we can with a decision. See below for the Funding Round deadlines:
2017 Funding Rounds
|Funding Round 1
||Friday, January 27
|Funding Round 2
||Friday, March 3
How do I know if my application has been approved?
At the end of each Funding Round, the applications will be assessed by an LTA Funding Panel that will meet on a regular basis and provide a quick decision, usually within a month of the application deadline passing.
