Which British players will be competing at Miami Open 2026?
A host of top British tennis players will be Miami bound for the second combined WTA and ATP 1000 event of the month.
Leading the charge in the women’s draw is British No.1 Emma Raducanu who will be hoping to regain the form that led her to the quarter-finals in Miami 12 months ago.
Raducanu enjoyed a tournament to remember last year - recording wins over then eighth seed Emma Navarro, and Amanda Anisimova on her way to reaching a career-first WTA 1000 quarter-final where she narrowly lost out in a three-set battle against Jessica Pegula.
Joining her is the in-form Sonay Kartal who is gearing up to contest her fourth round match at the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells. Kartal took down two seeds in Navarro and former Grand Slam champion Madison Keys on her way to the last 16 where she'll face reigning Australian Open champion Elena Rybakina.
This year's tournament will mark Kartal's main draw debut in Miami.
Katie Boulter has also received direct entry into the main draw after enjoying a consistent couple of months on the WTA Tour. The 29-year-old picked up her fourth tour-level title last month at the Ostrava Open, having beaten Germany's Tamara Korpatsch 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 in the final.
The British No.3 backed up that run by reaching the quarter-finals at the Merida Open and will be looking to carry that form into Miami over the next couple of weeks.
Francesca Jones also completes the line up of British women set to contest the singles title.

Onto the men's side and Jack Draper will lead the British charge as he eyes a second Masters 1000 title at the Miami Open. The former world No.4 is still working his way back from injury but had made steady strides in the Californian desert where he's due to face 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic in a bid to reach the quarter-finals.
Last year's tournament saw Draper head to Miami having claimed his first Masters 1000 title at Indian Wells, where he suffered a first round defeat to eventual champion Jakub Mensik. The 24-year-old has reached the second round on two occasions (2022, 2024) but will be eager to surpass his tournament-best run this year.
Cam Norrie will also contest the men's singles title and will be fuelled with plenty of confidence off the back of his fourth round run at Indian Wells. Norrie secured some landmark wins, including knocking out sixth seed Alex de Minaur in straight sets and is set to take on another Australian in Rinky Hijikata as he fights for a spot in the final eight.
No matter what happens in California, Norrie will have plenty of positives to take away from the fortnight and will be hoping to continue that momentum heading into Miami.
Doubles

In-form duo Henry Patten and Finnish partner Harri Heliovaara arrive in Miami as the pair to beat following their fast start to the 2026 season. The two-time Grand Slam winning pair have already lifted three titles this year in Adelaide, Qatar and Dubai and will be gunning to keep their winning streak going heading into Miami.
Meanwhile, all-British duo Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool are still hunting down a first title of the season, which could come in Miami where they finished runners-up at last year's tournament.
Freshly crowned Australian Open champions Neal Skupski and Christian Harrison could be set to continue their strong start to their doubles partnership as they look to seal a first Masters 1000 crown as a duo.
British No.1 Olivia Nicholls is lined up for the women’s doubles draw, teaming up once again with Slovakia’s Tereza Mihalikova. The pair have already reached one WTA final this year at the Abu Dhabi Open, but will be eager to get their hands on a first trophy of the season when they make the trip to Miami.

In the men's final, Jakub Mensik beat his childhood idol Novak Djokovic 7-6(4), 7-6(4) to win his first ATP 1000 crown.
In the doubles draw, Mirra Andreeva and Diana Shnaider came through a tough match against Cristina Bucsa and Miya Kato 6-3, 6-7(5), 10-6.

Past British performances at Miami Open
The Miami Open has crowned a number of British stars since its introduction to the ATP and WTA schedule in 1985.

Former world No.1 Murray is a two-time Miami Open champion, having taken home the trophy twice in his career. The three-time Grand Slam champion defeated Novak Djokovic 6-2, 7-5 to secure his maiden crown in 2009, before picking up a second in 2013 where he edged Spain’s David Ferrer in a three-set thriller. Murray also finished runner-up on two occasions (2012, 2015).
Meanwhile, Johanna Konta etched her name on the trophy in 2017. The former British No.1 defeated some of the highest-ranked players including Simona Halep, Venus Williams and Caroline Wozniacki en route to lifting what was the biggest title of her career.
While the doubles draw is yet to see a British champion, a couple have come close with the British duo of Skupski and Evans finishing runners-up in 2021 and Cash and Glasspool falling short in the 2025 men's doubles final.
