British No.1 Emma Raducanu is set to make her return to grass this summer.
The 24-year-old is still making her way back from an illness that has kept her away from the match court since March. However, the former Grand Slam champion will be eager to make a strong return in front of a home crowd, where fans can expect to see her in action this summer.
We break down Raducanu’s history on grass courts and look back at some of her past results and successes.
Raducanu’s best grass court results
Raducanu showed her promise on the grass in her junior days, with the British No.1 reaching the quarter-finals of junior Wimbledon where she narrowly lost out to Iga Swiatek.
However, Raducanu’s 2021 Wimbledon campaign was when everything changed for the then 18-year-old. Ranked world No.338 and having received a wild card into the main draw, Raducanu embarked on a dream run on home soil – reaching the fourth round on her tournament debut.
From there, just two months later, she went on to be crowned the 2021 US Open champion.
Raducanu has continued to pick up consistent results on the grass but will be hoping to go one further this year as she hunts down a maiden title on the surface.

Raducanu’s 2025 grass court season
She got off to an impressive start by reaching the quarter-finals of the HSBC Championships at The Queen’s Club in over 50 years. Raducanu gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about when she beat Cristina Bucsa and Rebecca Sramkova to reach the final eight before falling short to top seed Qinwen Zheng.
Raducanu then went on to compete at the Lexus Eastbourne Open where she reached the second round before making her way to SW19 where she took part in one of the matches of the year.
Taking on world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka under the lights on Centre Court, Raducanu pushed the top seed to the limits but went on to lose out on a spot in the fourth round in a 7-6(6), 6-4 defeat.
What is Raducanu’s biggest grass court win?
Raducanu’s biggest grass court win by ranking came during the 2024 Lexus Eastbourne Open where she saved a match point on her way to beating world No.5 Jessica Pegula, 4-6, 7-6(6), 7-5.
That win marked Raducanu’s first top 10 win of her career.

Emma Raducanu has a career-high ranking of world No.10 which she achieved in July 2022. Raducanu propelled to this ranking shortly after capturing the 2021 US Open title.
Emma Raducanu was crowned the 2021 US Open champion - becoming the first British woman to win a Grand Slam title since Virginia Wade at Wimbledon in 1977.
In the final, Raducanu beat Canadian Leylah Fernandez, 6-4, 6-3.
She also became the first qualifier in the Open Era to win a Grand Slam title and did so without dropping a set.
