Be part of our team of stewards and support the HSBC Championships.
The safety and customer experience of our spectators is the main responsibility of the HSBC Championships stewarding team. Stewards undertake a number of duties throughout the tournament, including checking tickets, managing queues, monitoring crowds, guiding ticket holders to their seats and answering queries from the general public.
Having excellent communication, teamwork and customer service skills are vital to help us make the HSBC Championships an unforgettable experience.

How to apply
Applications for the 2027 HSBC Championships will open on Monday 1 February 2027.

Why should I become a steward?
As one of our stewards, you will have the opportunity to help deliver the one of the UK’s largest tennis events! You will also gain valuable sports and event experience and learn new skills whilst working alongside some amazing people.
Who can apply?
Anyone can apply as long as you are aged 18 and over, have the right to work in the UK, motivated and are available for the training and event dates. Stewards must be available for all training and Tournament dates from Friday 4 - Sunday 20 June 2027.
How can I apply?
Applications will open on Monday 1 February 2027.
You can register your interest to be notified when the portal goes live. Please note that all application information will be delivered through the Rosterfy portal, including interview offers, role offers, and relevant training.
Is the role paid?
Yes, our stewards are paid the London Living Wage.
Is accommodation provided?
Unfortunately, accommodation will not be provided.
Are travel expenses covered?
Unfortunately, travel expenses will not be covered.
Will food be provided?
Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
Will I receive a uniform?
Yes, a branded uniform will be provided to each steward which can be kept at the end of the tournament.
Will I receive training?
Yes, all stewards must attend the mandatory training on Friday 4 June 2027. Stewards will also receive online training, which must be completed prior to the training session.
Will I need to attend an interview as part of the application process?
Applicants who have not previously worked at the HSBC Championships will be asked to attend a group selection session, which will take place sometime in March.
All interviews will take place in person at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton; we will not be able to offer any online alternatives.
Returning stewards will not be required to attend a selection session.
Do I need to have any experience?
Previous stewarding experience is not essential for this role, albeit advantageous. However, the ability to demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork and customer service skills are a must for our team of stewards.
How many days am I expected to be available?
We are asking for stewards to be available for the training day and the entire tournament period between 4 - 20 June 2027.
You will have rest days scheduled into your steward roster but these are done automatically and not available upon specific date requests.
