Our annual Residents’ Forum took place on Tuesday 17 March this year as an opportunity for residents to ask questions on finalised plans for the tournament and how they may affect you.
Please view the presentation below:
If you would like to be kept informed via email about the plans for the tournament and how they impact you as a resident, we kindly ask that you sign up for an LTA Advantage membership.
This free membership allows the LTA to communicate with you digitally with relevant information on ticketing offers, player announcements, traffic management plans, and other details on how the tournament may affect you.
Without signing up, we’re unable to reach you digitally due to data protection regulations.
Our traffic management plans have been developed to achieve as little impact to residents and members of the public as possible, whilst delivering a safe and enjoyable tournament for spectators.
- Various parking suspensions will be in place to accommodate the large vehicles in the build and break-down periods, and other parking suspensions will facilitate spectator queuing and access during the tournament (see map legend for the dates each type of suspension will be enforced).
- Large lorries will be escorted into The Queen’s Club along Palliser Road against the one-way system on various days between Tuesday 5 May and Friday 10 July. The majority occur between 05:00 and 06:00, with some ad-hoc escorts in the afternoon.
- The Parking Control hours of operation in section Zone H (dashed line on map below) will be extended to 09:00 – 19:00 from Saturday 6 to Sunday 21 June. For more information, visit www.lbhf.gov.uk/parking/parking-permits/visitor-permits or call 020 8753 6681.
- Palliser Road (between Comeragh Road and Barton Road) will be one-way, northbound, for all traffic from Saturday 6 June to Sunday 21 June.
On recommendation from the Metropolitan Police, four road closures with physical security measures will be in place from 09:00 – 22:00 on the days outlined below. The measures deployed will be similar to those used previously and will have no impact on pedestrians. The four locations are (coloured lines on the map below):
- Comeragh Road (between the junctions with Gledstanes Road and Palliser Road) – from Saturday 6 to Sunday 21 June
- Palliser Road (between the junctions with The Queen’s Club and Barton Road) – from Saturday 6 to Sunday 21 June
- Perham Road (between the junctions with Gledstanes Road and St Andrew’s Road) – from Monday 8 to Sunday 21 June
- Gledstanes Road (between the junctions with Perham Road and Fairholme Road) – from Monday 8 to Sunday 21 June
We will endeavour to minimise the impact on residents with vehicles and those in adjacent properties, however, we ask that you follow this advise, if at all possible:
- Zone D Resident Parking, please retain proof of your address in your vehicle as no physical Zone D permits are issues by the Council. If there are parking spaces available, you will be able to drive through the road closures on Comeragh Road and Gledstanes Road when directed by the security stewards.
- The road closures on Palliser Road and Perham Road will not be vehicle accessible at all between 09:00 – 22:00. Therefore, if you need to exit the area, you may need to perform a U-turn to exit the road closures via Comeragh Road or Gledstanes Road. Traffic stewards will be on hand to assist.
- Limit moving your vehicle during the hours of 09:00 – 22:00 if possible, or park outside of the road closure areas if there is space available.
- Try not to arrange deliveries during the period 6 – 21 June. However, if you do need to have something delivered, or already have a delivery booked, please email us at residentenquiries@queenstennis.info so we can pre-authorise this through the appropriate road closure.
- Follow the instructions given by our security stewards at all times. They are there to keep us all safe.
