US Open 2026: Neal Skupski & Christian Harrison reach men’s doubles final

Fifth seeds Neal Skupski and Christian Harrison are through to the US Open men’s doubles final – their second Grand Slam final of the season.
Australian Open champions Skupski and Harrison defeated world No.1s and Wimbledon titleholders Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara 7-6(4), 6-2 to reach Saturday’s final.
Skupski and Harrison are yet to drop a set so far in New York as they get set to face German sixth seeds Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz in the final.
Britain’s Skupski has now reached back-to-back US Open men’s doubles finals and is looking to win his third Grand Slam title, adding to his Australian Open crown and 2023 Wimbledon trophy with Wesley Koolhof.
A win on Saturday would make Skupski the only British player to lift men’s doubles titles at three different Grand Slams.
“We know these guys pretty well,” Skupski said of their semi-final opponents. “We've played them a couple of times this year and they've got the better of us, but we brought it today. We knew we had to and we’re really looking forward to a final in New York.
"We had success at the start of the year at the Australian Open. We had a great time, we know what it feels like to win a Grand Slam and we're going to leave it all out there on Saturday."
The British-American team will face the German duo in the final after Krawietz and Puetz ended Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram’s dream run 6-3, 6-4.
It marked the final match of Ram’s career and prevented Salisbury from reaching the final for a fifth time in six years.
Salisbury and Ram are the only team to have won the US Open in three consecutive years between 2021 and 2023, and finish their partnership with four Grand Slams together.
After his final match, Ram said: “Honestly, it couldn't be better. I know we've won the title and we've played on Ashe and for the final, but we've had some of our absolute most epic matches on that court, at Louis Armstrong.
“So first of all, it's at this tournament, it’s on that court. Joe was there. If you saw the poster that they made, more than half the pictures had him in it. So the whole thing, to me, it couldn't have been any better.”
US Open men’s doubles final preview
Skupski and Harrison will play Krawietz and Puetz in the US Open men’s doubles final on Saturday 12 September.
The fifth and sixth seeds will meet for the second time, with the Germans winning their previous meeting in Adelaide 6-3, 2-6, 10-5.
Skupski and Harrison are still in their first season together but made history earlier in the season by winning the Australian Open in just their second tournament together.
2024 ATP Finals champions Krawietz and Puetz are a long-established team but are still yet to win a Grand Slam together. They also made the US Open final in 2024, losing to Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson.
