The Copper Box Arena is a multi-sport venue that was built for the 2012 London Olympics in the Olympic Park, Stratford. It has previously hosted GB Billie Jean King Cup ties, most recently in 2023 against Sweden.

What is the format of the Davis Cup Qualifiers?
Great Britain’s Qualifier second round tie against Ecuador will take place across two days and will be a best-of-five rubber match.
Day one will feature two singles matches, while day two will see two singles and one doubles rubber.
The winner of the tie will then move on to the Davis Cup Finals in November for the chance to compete for the title. The losing team will return to Davis Cup Qualifiers in early 2027.

Great Britain vs Ecuador head-to-head
Great Britain and Ecuador have played twice in the history of the Davis Cup with one win apiece.
Both matches came within two years of each other. The first was in 2000, when the Brits lost 3-2 in a home tie on grass.
In 2001, the Brits got their revenge with a 4-1 win thanks to victories for Tim Henman, Greg Rusedski and Martin Lee.
Great Britain vs Ecuador preview
Great Britain has selected a strong side to take on Ecuador in their first London tie for 10 years.
British No.1 Arthur Fery has been the story of the British tennis season so far. This summer he became only the second wild card to reach the semi-finals of Wimbledon, which has catapulted him inside the world’s top 50.
Cam Norrie is an experienced player in the Davis Cup and played a big role in the first round clash with Norway in February. Norrie has been in good form of late, making a semi-final in Los Cabos and the fourth round at the ATP Masters 1000 National Bank Open.
Toby Samuel is a rising star in the British game and is set to break into the top 100 ahead of the Davis Cup. He's won five ATP Challenger titles in the last 12 months, competed at Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open main draws for the first time and made the Lexus Eastbourne Open semi-final.
If they are chosen to play together, this would be a debut for Henry Patten and Lloyd Glasspool as a doubles partnership. Patten is the current world No.1 and Wimbledon champion, while Glasspool reached the top of the rankings and won his first Grand Slam at SW19 last year with fellow Brit Julian Cash.
While Ecuador are the lowest-ranked team remaining in this year’s tournament, they showed their strength in the previous round, knocking out Australia in one of the shock results so far.
Their top-ranked singles player is Andres Andrade, who reached a career-high world No.210 earlier this season. Andrade won three World Tennis $25k events last year and is a regular fixture on the ATP Challenger Tour.
He’ll be joined 23-year-old Alvaro Guillen Meza – who defeated Australia’s Rinky Hijikata in their previous tie – and 18-year-old Angel Veliz.
The team’s experience comes from their doubles team of Gonzalo Escobar and Diego Hidalgo. Escobar has won four ATP Challenger doubles titles this season, while Hidalgo has featured at all three majors so far and won two Challengers.

Victories for Jack Draper, Cam Norrie, Jacob Fearnley, Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool helped Captain Smith’s side ease their way into the second round.
