Davis Cup Finals 2026: Arthur Fery & Cam Norrie head up Lexus Great Britain squad for Bologna
• 3 minute read
The Lexus Great Britain Davis Cup team has been announced to compete in the Davis Cup Final 8 in Bologna, Italy, from 24-29 November.
The GB squad will include British No.1 Arthur Fery, former world No.8 Cam Norrie, doubles world No.1 Henry Patten, and this year’s Australian Open and US Open champion Neal Skupski.
Captain and LTA Head of Men’s Tennis Leon Smith can add a fifth member to the squad closer to the event.
"We're delighted to be back in the Final 8," said Smith. "There are some really good teams, but with this group of guys and the depth of options I have available, we're also a really good team with a lot of belief. As we get towards the end of the season, it's a great thing to look forward to, and the players are all super motivated to get to Bologna and perform like we know we're capable of."
Great Britain and seven of the other leading Nations from across the world will compete in a straight knockout competition to be crowned Davis Cup and world champions.
The Brits will face Germany in the quarter-finals on Thursday 26 November. The winner will face either Spain or Austria in the semi-finals.
Germany's team includes world No.1 Alexander Zverev, Jan Lennard-Struff, Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz.
Great Britain reached the Final 8 with convincing wins over Norway and Ecuador in the Qualifiers. They are yet to drop a match so far in the competition, having won all eight of the matches they've contested.
Smith’s team will be aiming to become the first British side to win the Davis Cup since 2015 and lift the trophy for an 11th time in tournament history.

Here’s some more information on the Great Britain team heading to Bologna next month:
Arthur Fery
- Age: 24
- Ranking: 35
- Davis Cup ties played: 2
- Davis Cup record: 2-0
Coming in off the back of a breakout season, Fery will lead the charge as Britain’s top-ranked singles player.
This summer, the 24-year-old catapulted himself amongst the world’s best players with a semi-final run at Wimbledon – becoming only the second wild card to ever reach the final four at SW19.
He’s backed up his Wimbledon heroics with more strong results on the ATP Tour as well. Fery made his first ATP final in Winston-Salem and has reached the third round of the ATP Masters 1000 in Cincinnati – one of his first-ever events at that level.
So far, Fery is undefeated in Davis Cup matches for Great Britain, winning on his debut in Poland and then sealing a comfortable singles rubber against Ecuador.
The Brit will face a tough challenge against some of the very best in the world in Bologna, but he’s shown time and time again that he can rise to any occasion.
Cam Norrie

- Age: 31
- Ranking: 41
- Davis Cup ties played: 14
- Davis Cup record: 10-8
Norrie has been a key part of the Great Britain squad since making his debut against Spain back in 2018 and brings a host of experience to the squad.
A former Indian Wells champion, Wimbledon semi-finalist and world No.8, Norrie is one of the top singles players in the world and brings a relentless competitiveness and fight onto the court.
He was selected to be a part of the squad against Ecuador in London but had to withdraw after picking up an injury while training with the squad.
After a strong start to the hard court swing – reaching the semis in Los Cabos and fourth round at the Canadian Open – Norrie will now be looking to finish the season on a high with some strong performances for his country.
Henry Patten

- Age: 30
- Ranking: 1
- Davis Cup ties played: 2
- Davis Cup record: 2-0
Patten has held the world No.1 spot since earlier in the summer alongside Finnish partner Harri Heliovaara.
After winning the Nitto ATP Finals at the end of last year, Patten and Heliovaara won five titles at the start of this season, including the Madrid Open and Wimbledon. They also reached finals at Roland Garros, Miami Open and the HSBC Championships, as well as a US Open semi-final.
Patten made a triumphant return to the Davis Cup team in September, teaming up with Skupski to clinch his second win for his country.
The duo could be set to join forces again in November in what would be the highest-ranked doubles team on paper.
Neal Skupski

- Age: 36
- Ranking: 3
- Davis Cup ties played: 16
- Davis Cup record: 16-5
Skupski has delivered on the biggest stages this year, winning two Grand Slam men’s doubles titles at the Australian Open and US Open with Christian Harrison.
Most recently in New York, they became only the third team in history to lift the trophy without dropping a set. Skupski is the first British doubles player to win titles at three different Grand Slam events in the Open Era.
The most experienced member of the team, Skupski has played a pivotal role in some of Great Britain’s best results over the years – most notably the group deciding rubber of the Davis Cup Finals in Manchester against France in 2023.
