LTA Safe to Play National Safeguarding Conference

Safe to Play conference

On Saturday 4th October 2025, in support of the NSPCC CPSU Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport Week, the LTA will be running its Safe to Play Annual Safeguarding Conference

The free conference has been designed with tennis volunteers, coaches and officials and is set to be an informative and engaging day. Sessions will include keynote speakers and workshops to provide opportunities to learn and share good practice on how to keep tennis and padel safe.

The majority of sessions will be recorded and available to watch at a later date for reference alongside an invaluable bank of resources to support you at your tennis venue.  

Key information

  • The conference is free to attend online.
  • The conference is open to all including coaches, Welfare Officers, County Safeguarding Officers, officials, county and venue committee members, and parents and carers.
  • Sessions include keynote speakers and workshops covering how to help keep tennis and padel safe.
  • Welfare Officers and County Safeguarding Officers will receive 1 extra year on their safeguarding record if they attend.
  • Coaches and officials will earn 3 CPD points and 1 year of training on the system if they attend and complete at least 3 hours of CPD.
  • Recordings and resources will be available to those who register so even if you cannot make it on the day, you can catch up on the content and still earn the credits.
