Rolex Paris Masters 2025: Cam Norrie on course for Carlos Alcaraz clash & Jacob Fearnley faces Andrey Rublev

• 1 MINUTE READ

The draws are set for the final ATP Masters 1000 event of the season with Cam Norrie and Jacob Fearnley facing tough early challenges at the Rolex Paris Masters.

British No.2 Norrie is set to begin his campaign in France against world No.43 Sebastian Baez.

Norrie won their two previous meetings in Lyon back in 2022 and 2023, with both matches going to three sets.

If Norrie can win his opening round match, waiting for him in the second round will be world No.1 and six-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz.

Alcaraz will be playing his first tournament since winning the ATP 500 in Tokyo last month. He has won eight titles this year – including Roland Garros and the US Open – and has a 67-7 winning record.

Norrie and Alcaraz have faced each other seven times – including finals in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, as well as this year’s Wimbledon quarter-final. The Spaniard leads the head-to-head 5-2.

Meanwhile, qualifier Fearnley will have a difficult task up against 12th seed Andrey Rublev in the first round.

Fearnley narrowly lost to eventual runner-up and world No.3 Alexander Zverev in last week’s Erste Bank Open and responded well to come through two rounds of qualifying in Paris.

This will be his first meeting with Rublev, who bowed out against Britain’s Norrie in the opening round of Vienna last week.

A win would see him play Learner Tien or Nuno Borges in the second round and then a potential matchup with Ben Shelton in the third.

In the doubles, Lloyd Glasspool, Julian Cash and Henry Patten have byes in the opening round.

Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski face French wild cards Theo Arribage and Albano Olivetti, while Luke Johnson and Sander Arends take on Nikola Mektic and Austin Krajicek.

You can watch the Rolex Paris Masters exclusively on Sky Sports and NOW TV.
