The HOP London Padel Open is back for it’s second year as the second of three FIP RISE events taking place in Britain in 2023.

When is the HOP London Padel Open?

The HOP London Padel Open will take place from 3-6 August.

The qualification draw will be from 3-4 August, with the main draw from 4-6 August.

Where is the HOP London Padel Open taking place?

The event will return to the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton, London this year. The event will be played across four world-class padel courts at the NTC.

The event is free to attend and there are also VIP tickets, which are available to buy now.

Which British players are competing at the HOP London Padel Open?

Reigning champion and British No.1 Tia Norton will aim to retain her title with Dutch star Rosalie van der Hoek. Norton was recently part of the team that won the inaugural Pro Padel League in the United States.

There will be seven all-British duos competing at the HOP London Padel Open, including: Lisa Phillips and Sophie Haine, Catherine Rose and Hannah Maddock, Abigail Tordoff and Claire Smith, Aimee Gibson and Victoria Nicholas, Amy Cairns and Karen Hunter, Elizabeth Fletcher and Karen Hazzard, and Eloise Tait and Sophie Bray.

In the men’s draw, British No.1 Christian Medina Murphy is set to enter as the third seed, alongside Spain’s Miguel Angel Solbes – the second highest ranked player in the tournament (world No.73). Murphy is currently ranked world No.138 in the FIP rankings and will be looking to build on his semi-final appearance at the HOP London Padel Open last year.

Eighth seed Sam Jones will team up with Iago Gonzalez Niño, while Louie Harris will compete with Luis Alfonso Chacón Gilo and Nikhil Mohindra plays with Miguel Martin Cano. Alfonso Patacho and Chris Salisbury make up the only all-British duo in the men’s competition.
