The 2024 18U Lexus Junior National Championships is set to feature a blockbuster line-up of young British talent – including nine players ranked inside the ITF junior world top 100.

Reigning champion Lacy will return to defend her title at the National Tennis Centre this year. The 17-year-old has featured regularly on the pro tour over the last year having reached the quarter-finals of the Lexus Surbiton Trophy in 2023.

She’ll be joined by last year’s runner-up and current world No.6 Hannah Klugman. Supported by our Pro Scholarship Programme presented by Lexus, Klugman won the coveted Orange Bowl title last year made the US Open quarter-finals and was crowned as the 16U Junior Nationals champion.

She was also part of the Junior Billie Jean King Cup team that finished third in the 2023 Finals alongside Mimi Xu. 16-year-old Xu – who is supported by the Pro Scholarship Programme presented by Lexus – is a former 16U and 18U champion back in 2022 and has continued to rise up the rankings to world No.11. Xu won two junior singles titles last year at the J300 Beijing and J300 Repentigny and was a quarter-finalist at this year’s Australian Open.

They will be joined by Mika Stojsavljevic – who this year made the W50 Roehampton quarter-final – as well as Hephzibah Oluwadare and Gabia Paskauskas in a stacked girls’ singles draw.

Oliver Bonding comes in as the top-ranked player in the boys’ singles. The 16-year-old recently made history as the first British Boy to win the J500 Blumenau title – also known as the Banana Bowl – since 2010. Last year, Bonding finished runner-up in both the 16U and 18U singles events.

Last year’s 16U boys’ singles champion Ben Gusic Wan will also come in as one of the favourites, having recently featured in the final and semi-final in back-to-back junior events in Nonthaburi.

Viktor Frydrych is be one to watch after the 18-year-old recently finished runner-up in the boys’ doubles event at the Australian Open.

Charlie Robertson will come in as one of the top seeds as well, off the back of a season where he won three ITF junior singles titles in Glasgow, Trnava and Santo Domingo.
