Ben Bartram enjoys wheelchair breakthrough as Oliver Bonding secures second ITF title

Bartram wins first WC250 title
It was a week to remember for British wheelchair star Ben Bartram, who lifted a career-first WC250 title at the Sardinia Open.
Fresh from helping Great Britain win the men's title at last week's World Team Cup, Bartram picked up where he left off in Sardinia.
Before this week, the biggest titles of Bartram's career had come at ITF 3 Series level, where he had won four trophies.
The Brit eased into the final having dropped just three games across his opening two matches before booking his place in the championship match with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Chile's Alexander Cataldo.
In the final, Bartram defeated world No. 12 Casey Ratzlaff 6-4, 6-1 to claim the biggest singles title of his career. The victory improved his head-to-head record against the American to four wins from five meetings.
The week got even better for the 21-year-old, who went on to lift the doubles title alongside Maarten Ter Hofte. The pair were due to face Chile's Alexander Cataldo and Brazil's Daniel Rodrigues in the final before the second seeds withdrew, handing Bartram and Ter Hofte the title and completing Bartram's Sardinia Open double.
Over at the WC175 event in La Couarde-sur-Mer, Andrew Penney claimed his fourth doubles crown of the year.
Teaming up with American Conner Stroud, Penney battled through the opening rounds before the pair booked their place in the final against Alexander Lantermann and Kouhei Suzuki.
They then sealed the title with a 6-4, 6-2 victory, claiming their second trophy as a partnership.
Penney also finished runner-up in the singles draw but missed out on the title to doubles partner Stroud, who secured a 6-2, 7-5 victory.
Bonding clinches second M15 title
Britain's Oliver Bonding has continued to impress in the United States after picking up his second ITF title in three months.
The 19-year-old raced through the draw without dropping a set, including a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Gabe Avram in the semi-finals.
In the final, Bonding faced his toughest challenge of the week and was taken to three sets by home favourite Sean Daryabeigi, with the Brit eventually coming through 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.
Bonding, who currently attends Texas Christian University in the United States, won his first professional title at the M15 event in Lakewood in June. He is also a former junior Wimbledon doubles champion and lifted the prestigious Banana Bowl title two years ago, becoming the first British boy to win the event since 2010.
There was also doubles success on the ITF Tour for Britain's Finn Murgett and American partner Tyler Stice at the M25 Setubal.
Murgett and Stice overcame Portuguese duo Casco Leote Prata and Diogo Morais to reach the final, where they were due to face Alberto Barroso Campos and Rafael Izquierdo Luque before the Spaniards withdrew, handing the British-American pairing the title.
The title was Murgett's eighth ITF doubles crown and his first of the 2026 season.
