Amanda Anisimova: Grass court season history, record and past results

World No.6 Amanda Anisimova is set to return to British soil for the 2026 grass court season.

The 24-year-old, who was one of the standout WTA players last year, will be one of the players to watch heading into the grass court swing and will be eager to pick up where she left off on the surface.

We breakdown Anisimova’s history on grass courts and look back at some of her past results and successes. 

Anisimova’s best grass court results

Anisimova showed promise of her grass court game during her junior days where she reached the third round at junior Wimbledon.

She then went on to make her WTA debut on grass back in 2019 in Mallorca and made the quarter-finals.

From there, she’s continued to grow in confidence on the surface and last year recorded her best results so far at Wimbledon and the HSBC Championships – finishing runner-up.

That said, Anisimova is still awaiting a first WTA title on grass and will be a strong contender to dominate the surface once again this summer.

Anisimova’s 2025 grass court season

Anisimova was one of the most consistent players during last year’s grass court swing.

The American kick-started her summer at the HSBC Championships where she played a historic role in the first WTA 500 event at The Queen’s Club. Anisimova took down the likes of British stars Jodie Burrage and Sonay Kartal, before knocking out third seed Emma Navarro and top seed Qinwen Zheng to reach the final. There she narrowly lost out to Tatjana Maria.

She backed that up by reached the quarter-finals at the Berlin Tennis Open, before making her way to Wimbledon where she went on to reach her first Grand Slam final – finishing runner-up to Iga Swiatek.

In the semi-final, Anisimova overcame world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in two hours and 37 minutes to reach her maiden Grand Slam final.
