Six British players have been included on the main draw entry lists for the men’s and women’s singles events at the US Open.
The 2025 US Open gets underway from 18 August to 7 September. Qualifying and the new mixed doubles event will take place between 18-21 August, before main draw action starts on 24 August.
In the men’s singles, Jack Draper leads the charge, with Cam Norrie and Jacob Fearnley also set to join, while Katie Boulter, Sonay Kartal and Emma Raducanu headline the women’s singles draws for Great Britain.
23-year-old Draper will be looking to replicate his Grand Slam breakthrough last year, where he reached the semi-final of a major for the first time.
The British No.1 defeated the likes of Botic van de Zandschlup, Tomas Machac and Alex de Minaur to make the final four, where he lost out to world No.1 and eventual champion Jannik Sinner.
Since then, Draper has gone on to win his first ATP Masters 1000 title in Indian Wells, reached the final in Madrid, made the semi-final of the HSBC Championships and broke into the top five for the first time.
He will be joined by Davis Cup teammate Norrie, who so far this season has produced his best tennis at the Grand Slams.
After making the fourth round at Roland Garros, Norrie went on to reach the quarter-final at Wimbledon for the second time in his career – with wins against Roberto Bautista Agut, Frances Tiafoe, Mattia Bellucci and Nicolas Jarry.
Fearnley is set to compete at the US Open main draw for the first time in his career, following a meteoric rise over the last year.
The former NCAA US college tennis star will be one to watch in New York having shown his strength on the hard courts with a third round run at the Australian Open and three Challenger titles at the back end of last season.
Current British No.1 Boulter made the third round back in 2023 and last year had her best results on the hard courts, winning the title in San Diego and reaching the final in Hong Kong.
After picking up some solid wins over the grass court season, Boulter will be hoping that a return to the US will spark further success and a career-best run at the US Open.
Kartal was one of the stars of the summer after making the fourth round out Wimbledon, with some impressive wins against the likes of Jelena Ostapenko and Diane Parry.
The Brighton star won her first WTA title on the hard courts in Monastir last year and made the fourth round at Indian Wells, so will no doubt be a threat in Flushing Meadows come August.
Finally, 2021 champion Raducanu returns to the tournament where she made history in becoming the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam title.
The British star has had some strong results this season and has shown she has the level to compete with the players at the very top of the game – including an impressive third round battle with Aryna Sabalenka at Wimbledon.
The US Open will be available to watch exclusively on Sky Sports Tennis and NOW TV.
