• 2 minute read

The full Great Britain squad has been announced for the 2026 United Cup from 2-11 January in Perth and Sydney, Australia.

The team – made up of two men’s and three women’s players – will be led by British No.1 Emma Raducanu.

She will be joined by Lexus GB Davis Cup star Billy Harris and world No.275 Katie Swan, as well as doubles specialists Neal Skupski and Olivia Nicholls.

British No.1 Jack Draper was set to make his debut at the tournament but announced his withdrawal on the 26 December due to an ongoing injury.

Men's Women's
Billy Harris (world No.124) Emma Raducanu (world No.29)

Neal Skupski (doubles - world No.9)

Katie Swan (world No.275)
Olivia Nicholls (doubles - world No.26)

The United Cup will start with a round-robin group stage with the top two teams qualifying for the knock-out rounds. Ties are played as best of three matches, including one men’s singles, one women’s singles and one mixed doubles rubber.

Great Britain are one of 18 countries competing at the United Cup next year. Nations qualify based on the combined ranking of their top men's and women's singles player.

The Brits reached the quarter-finals earlier this season – finishing top of their group before losing out to Poland.

Raducanu joins the squad as the highest ranked singles player and will be pivitol to the Brits campaign. The former US Open champion has just rounded off a consistent season on the WTA Tour that led her to finish the year ranked inside the world's top 30.

Harris joins the British line-up off the back of a season in which he won his first ATP Challenger singles trophy in Cassis, France. Harris also came through qualifying to reach the main draw at the US Open and won his opening round match at Wimbledon.

Skupski has enjoyed an impressive season on the ATP Tour with fellow Brit Joe Salisbury – finishing runner-up at Roland Garros and US Open, as well as reaching a further four tour-level finals.

Nicholls rose to a career-high ranking at world No.23 earlier this year, after winning the title in Berlin alongside Tereza Mihalikova. The duo have also had a strong record in the WTA 1000 tournaments including a final in Indian Wells and a semi-final in Wuhan.

The draw for the United Cup will take place on Monday 17 November.
