Nitto ATP Finals 2025: Top-ranked doubles duo Lloyd Glasspool & Julian Cash get set for Turin

As the tennis season draws to a close, all eyes turn to Turin once again for the Nitto ATP Finals.
Bringing together the top eight singles players and eight doubles teams from the ATP Tour – the Finals will crown the champion of champions for the 2025 season.
This year – for the first time – Great Britain will be represented by five players in the doubles at the Nitto ATP Finals, including two all-British pairings.
At the top of that list are current world No.1 and No.2 Lloyd Glasspool and Julian Cash, who are set to make their Finals debut as a partnership.
“We’re really looking forward to it,” said Glasspool, who also competed at the Finals in 2022 alongside Finland’s Harri Heliovaara.
“It’s an amazing tournament. I’ve only been once before so it will be great to be back there. Apparently the tournament keeps on improving year after year so we’re looking forward to it, especially given the form we’re taking in from this year.
“To come in as the No.1 or No.2 seeds and potentially one of the favorites is a really nice feeling.”
Becoming the top-ranked team of the season
A seat on the plane to Turin is a well-deserved reward for what has been an incredible season for the British duo – only their first full calendar year competing together.
Glasspool and Cash have won seven titles, reached 10 finals and won over 50 tour-level matches in the 2025 season alone.
This includes a maiden Grand Slam title at Wimbledon – becoming the first all-British team to win the men’s doubles trophy since 1936.
“We’ve had a very solid year as well as some big highs in the middle as well,” Cash said. “Winning our first Grand Slam is a huge standout for us and we’ve ticked a lot of things off this year that we’ve wanted to achieve.
“Lloyd hit world No.1, we won a Grand Slam, won a Masters, so we’re really proud of what we’ve done.
“For me it’s the first time I’m in Turin at the ATP Finals so really looking forward to it and it’s another challenge for us to get after.”
High-stakes at the Nitto ATP Finals
The Nitto ATP Finals is an event unlike any other. The best-of-the-best will all go head-to-head in a week-long event in Italy – starting with the round-robin group stages through to the final.
With record total prize money on offer, the possibility of being crowned Finals champions and the chance to finish the season as the top-ranked team in the world – the stakes have never been higher for the British team.
“I think there’s just a lot more excitement around it,” Glasspool said on what makes the Finals so special.
“Everyone there is in form, which doesn’t happen at every other event so every match is really important and you can be playing the best team in the world from the first round – even as the top seeds.
“The fans are crazy in Italy, they host an amazing event and the money is pretty big as well which makes it nervy for everyone.”
British doubles reaches new heights
Just a couple of weeks ago, Great Britain had five players ranked inside the ATP top 10 for the first time in history – becoming only the third nation to achieve this feat and the first in 32 years.
It marks, what is currently the most successful era in British doubles history. This season, all four Grand Slam men’s doubles finals featured British representatives and the pool of doubles players rising up the rankings is improving year after year.
“It’s incredible that so many of us have made it (to the Finals),” Cash said reflecting on the state of British doubles. “Having two all-British pairs as well which is really exciting. There’s so many Brits on that pathway now and doing well in doubles from the Challengers and pushing up on the Tour now as well. It’s incredibly exciting, I’m proud to be part of it.
“Joe (Salisbury) and Neal (Skupski) were part of the reason I decided to play doubles myself so to be alongside them is extra special.
“There’s a few reasons (for the success) that all stem from the same place – Louis (Cayer) is a huge part of that. Because of him we have a great culture here. He’s instilled a lot of discipline in us so even when he’s not around, we’re able to do that week in and week out.
“There’s so many guys that inspire you on your way up, people to talk to who have done it before, so it makes you feel like part of a bigger team. It makes it feel like it really is achievable.”
Finishing 2025 on a high
With the Nitto ATP Finals just a few weeks away, this year’s Wimbledon, HSBC Championships and Lexus Eastbourne Open champions are hoping to add one more piece of silverware to their cabinet.
When the tournament gets underway from 9-16 November in Turin, it’s fair to say that Glasspool and Cash will be prepared and ready to go for one final act this season.
“There’s no better way to go out,” Cash said. “It’s pretty rare to win the last tournament of the year. You can take that into the off season. We’re going to give it everything, we’re really excited to be there. We have a couple of tournaments before then to build up and get ready but looking forward to getting stuck in and hopefully winning the title.”
