Davis Cup Qualifiers 2026: Cam Norrie, Arthur Fery, Henry Patten & Lloyd Glasspool set to face Ecuador
• 3 minute read
The Lexus Great Britain Davis Cup squad has been announced ahead of their second round Qualifier match against Ecuador at the Copper Box Arena from 19-20 September.
The Davis Cup Qualifier second round tie will see the Brits take on Ecuador for a place in the Final 8 in November and a shot at this year’s title.
The British team will consist of British No.1 Cam Norrie, Wimbledon semi-finalist Arthur Fery, doubles world No.1 Henry Patten and former Wimbledon men’s doubles champion Lloyd Glasspool.
Great Britain Davis Cup Captain and LTA Head of Men's Tennis, Leon Smith, said, "I’m really happy to be able to name such a strong squad for the tie against Ecuador. We know Ecuador will be right up for the challenge, so to be able to call on our top two singles players and two of the world’s best doubles players – all of whom have had good results in recent weeks – gives us a great chance of securing the win.”
British No.2 Fery added, "I’m really proud to be able to represent GB again. It’s going to be a different scenario this time, playing at home and the tie counts a little bit more in my mind, trying to qualify for the Final 8. It’s going to be good, maybe some extra pressure, but I’m ready for it."

- Henry Patten
- Lloyd Glasspool
Cam Norrie

- Age: 30
- Ranking: 35
- Davis Cup ties played: 9
- Davis Cup record: 10-8
Norrie comes in as the most experienced Davis Cup player in the side, having competed in nine ties for the Brits throughout his career.
February’s tie against Norway saw the former world No.8 secure his 10th win for his country, after he beat rising star Nicolai Budkov Kjaer. He will be a dangerous player for the home side heading into the Qualifiers second round.
Norrie has been in impressive form of late, having clocked runs to the semi-finals in Los Cabos and the fourth round at the National Bank Open. The 30-year-old will be hoping to carry that form with him back onto home soil as he bids to guide his nation to the Final 8.

Fery is hoping to make a winning return to Davis Cup action following his dream debut last September. Fery made his first appearance for the Lexus GB team during their Play-off tie against Poland, where he secured a straight-sets victory over Olaf Pieczkowski to help the Brits punch their ticket to the 2026 Qualifiers.
Since then, plenty has changed for the 24 year old - particularly over the last couple of months. His run to the semi-finals at Wimbledon captured the nation's attention as he became the first wild card to reach the final four at SW19 in 25 years. The result catapulted him from outside the world’s top 100 to a new career-high of No.36.
With the confidence flowing in his game, Fery is set to be a fantastic addition to the team this time out.

The British team will be boosted by the inclusion of world No.1 doubles star Patten for their tie against Ecuador.
Patten has been in red-hot form this season, claiming five tour-level titles, including the Madrid Open, and his third Grand Slam title at Wimbledon, alongside Finnish partner Harri Heliovaara.
Patten is back in the Lexus GB team for the first time since the 2024 Group Stages in Manchester, when he clinched a win on debut after teaming up with Neal Skupski to defeat Canada’s Gabriel Diallo and Alexis Galarneau.

Glasspool is the second doubles specialist set for action at the Copper Box Arena in September. The former world No.1 recently won his second ATP title of the year at the Citi Open alongside Julian Cash and comes into the tie with form on his side.
The 32-year-old made his Davis Cup debut almost a year ago, and secured his first victory for the Brits back in February by winning the doubles rubber against Norway's Budkov Kjaer and Viktor Durasovic. With two doubles specialists in the British line-up, Glasspool could be set to play another vital role in their bid for a ticket to the Final 8 in Bologna.
