Henry Patten earns call-up to face Canada & becomes LTA Colour Holder No.327

Wimbledon champion Henry Patten will make his Davis Cup debut for the Lexus GB team against Canada in the final doubles rubber to become the LTA Colour Holder No.327.
Patten – who was called up to the squad following his first Grand Slam title this summer – will team up with Davis Cup veteran Neal Skupski for the first time to face Gabriel Diallo and Alexis Galarneau.
Patten joins Harris as the second player to gain LTA Colour Holders status this week – joining a long line of Great Britain’s greatest tennis stars throughout the years.
LTA Colour Holders acknowledges, recognises and celebrates players, past and present, who have represented Great Britain in the Davis Cup, Billie Jean King Cup and Wheelchair Tennis World Team Cup, as well as at the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
Like a ‘cap’ that a player receives playing for their country in either football or rugby, when a player has competed for Great Britain in tennis, they receive a Colour.
On top of winning Wimbledon alongside Finland’s Harri Heliovaara back in July the British, Finnish have also won ATP Tour titles in Marrakech and Lyon as well at Challenger trophies in Madrid and Turin.
It was only in 2022 that Patten and fellow Brit Julian Cash broke the record for the most number of Challenger titles won in a season – 10.
He is currently at a career-high ranking of world No.17.
