• 3 minute read

The Lexus GB Davis Cup team has been announced ahead of their tie against Norway at the Davis Cup Qualifiers 2026.

Captain and LTA Head of Men’s Tennis Leon Smith has named a strong team to take on Norway at the start of February - including British No.1 Jack Draper, Cam Norrie, Jacob Fearnley, Lloyd Glasspool and Julian Cash.

Lexus Great Britain Davis Cup squad to face Norway:

  • Jack Draper (world No.10)
  • Cam Norrie (world No.27)
  • Jacob Fearnley (world No.71)
  • Lloyd Glasspool (world No.1 - doubles)
  • Julian Cash  (world No.2 - doubles)

Speaking on his team selection ahead of the tie against Norway, Smith said, “It’s great to be putting forward our strongest team for February’s Qualifier tie with our top three ranked singles players and the current No.1 ranked doubles team in the world.

"We know we need a strong squad to face a high quality Norway team at home but we’re all looking forward to the challenge in Oslo.”

The tie will take place between 5-6 February at the Nadderud Arena in Oslo.

The winner of the tie between Great Britain and Norway will go on to face either Australia or Ecuador in the Davis Cup Qualifier second round in September.

  • Age: 24
  • Ranking: 10
  • Davis Cup ties played: 4
  • Davis Cup record: 1-3

Having not stepped foot on a tennis court in almost five months, Draper will look to make his comeback at this year’s Davis Cup Qualifiers. The British No.1 has been nursing an injury that forced him to withdraw from his second round match at last year's US Open but could be back in action in Norway as he aims to spearhead his nation to victory.

2025 marked a breakthrough year for Draper, who clinched a maiden Masters 1000 title at Indian Wells, finished runner-up at the Madrid Masters and recorded a new career-high ranking of world No.4. He also recorded wins over some of the world's top players including Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz and Lorenzo Musetti.

Norrie will look to pick up where he left off in 2026, after what was an impressive end to last year's season.

The British No.2 backed up his run to the quarter-finals at Wimbledon with a third round appearance at the US Open and reached his 11th ATP Tour level final in Moselle to conclude the year back inside the world’s top 30.

In terms of his Davis Cup form, Norrie played a crucial role in the team’s victory over Poland in the World Group I tie back in September. Norrie recorded straight set wins over Tomasz Berkieta and Olaf Pieczkowski to help secure the Brits’ spot in the 2026 Qualifiers and will be a reliable player heading into the tie against Norway.
