What do I do if I have a concern?

1 MINUTE READ

If you have a safeguarding concern you can contact your venue Welfare Officer.

A Welfare Officer is someone at your venue who is specially trained to make sure they can support you with any worries or concerns you may have. Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility and the Welfare Officer is an important part of any venue.

A Welfare Officer should:

  • Promote safeguarding within their venue
  • Work with others to ensure a safe and inclusive environment is achieved
  • Not be a member of the venue’s coaching team
  • Not be related to a member of the coaching team (for example, their spouse).

You can find out who your Welfare Officer is by finding the poster on display at your venue or checking your venue website.

If you can’t, or don’t want to speak to your venue Welfare Officer you can contact the LTA Safeguarding Team via our Report a Concern page:
