Trainify Cymru National Tennis Championships 2026

What a week it has been at this year's Trainify Cymru National Tennis Championships, with more than 200 players taking to the court to compete for the title of Welsh Champion.
The tournament brought together some of Wales' best players, with a wide range of clubs represented across the junior, open, wheelchair and visually impaired competitions.
The Grade 3 tournament was primarily hosted at Bridgend Tennis Club, with the Visually Impaired events taking place at Newport Tennis Centre. A number of matches were also played at Cardiff Met University due to adverse weather conditions.
The Championships were delivered by the Tennis Wales Competitions Team, alongside North Wales-based official Tcherinavg Vaughan Griffiths, helping to ensure a high-quality experience for players across all events.

A huge thank you to Bridgend Tennis Club, Newport Tennis Centre and Cardiff Met University for hosting matches during this year's Championships.
Tennis Wales would also like to thank Tcherin Vaughan Griffiths for officiating the event, and Will Croft for overseeing the Visually Impaired and Wheelchair Tennis competitions.
