What are Ranking points?

A Players LTA Ranking represents an overall order of merit with players positioned according to points acquired in domestic and international, singles and doubles, tournaments.

Ranking points are awarded based upon performances in Grade 1 (highest) to Grade 5 tournaments. They can be earned from Qualifying, Main Draw and Consolation Draws. 

There must be a minimum of five players in a singles event and three teams in a doubles event for the event to count for Ranking points. 

For 9U & 10U Players, Rankings are based on Recent Form. For 11U to Senior Players, Rankings are based on the LTA Combined Rankings.

Tournament acceptances and seedings are based on Players Rankings from 11U to 18U.  

Point allocations are weighted by age group, so players are proportionately rewarded for playing in older age groups. Full details of the Ranking points available for each age group are detailed in the following documents:
