Rolex Paris Masters 2025: Henry Patten & Harri Heliovaara clinch first ATP Masters 1000 title

• 1 MINUTE READ

Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara are ATP Masters 1000 champions for the first time together after defeating all-British duo Lloyd Glasspool and Julian Cash in the Rolex Paris Masters final.

The two-time Grand Slam champions sealed the trophy with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Glasspool and Cash – their first win over the Brits in five meetings.

Patten becomes the seventh British player in history to win an ATP Masters 1000 doubles title, joining Joe Salisbury (3), Neal Skupski (3), Tim Henman (2), Cash (1), Glasspool (1) and Jamie Murray (1).

It’s Patten and Heliovaara’s seventh title together as a team since joining forces in Marrakech last year.

“It’s amazing,” Patten said after lifting the trophy. “We are two very happy boys. Julian and Lloyd are the best pair in the world right now. We’re still 4-1 down and still have a lot of catching up to do. We’re extremely proud of the performance and there’s no better place to do that in Paris.”

Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara's route to the Rolex Paris Masters title

  • First round: Bye
  • Second round: bt. Hugo Nys (MON) & Edouard Roger-Vasselin (FRA) 6-1, 6-4
  • Quarter-final: bt. Alexander Erler (AUT) & Robert Galloway (USA) 4-6, 7-6(3), 10-6
  • Semi-final: bt. Quentin Halys (FRA) & Pierre-Hugues Herbert (FRA) 6-3, 6-4
  • Final: bt. Lloyd Glasspool (GBR) & Julian Cash (GBR) (2) 6-3, 6-4

There were opportunities for reigning Wimbledon champions Glasspool and Cash in the opening set, but the Brits saw three early break points come and go at 2-2.

Patten and Heliovaara responded with a break in the following game and lost just one point on serve throughout the rest of the set.

Aiming to clinch their first win over this season’s No.1 ranked doubles team, Patten and Heliovaara sealed another breakthrough midway through the second set and refused to let their opponents get back into the match. The Australian Open champions finished with 88% points won on first serve (29/33) and didn’t face a break point in a solid second set.

Both pairs now move on to the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin – where a record five British players will compete in the doubles draw.

Glasspool and Cash were competing in their 11th final of the season, having won seven titles already – including last week in Vienna. They are currently top in the race to be the Year-End No.1 Doubles Team with the race set to come down to the Nitto ATP Finals.
