National Bank Open 2025: Julian Cash & Lloyd Glasspool to face Joe Salisbury & Neal Skupski in first all-British Masters final
• 2 MINUTE READ
The stage is set for an all-British men’s doubles final at the National Bank Open in Toronto as Wimbledon champions Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool face Roland Garros runners-up Joe Salisbury and Neal Skuspki.
It will be the first-ever British clash in the final of an ATP Masters 1000 event and the fourth on the ATP Tour in the Open Era.
Cash and Glasspool are continuing their incredible run of form dating back to the start of June – reaching finals in their last five events and winning titles at the HSBC Championships, Lexus Eastbourne Open and Wimbledon so far.
The Brits knocked out fourth seeds Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz 6-3, 7-6(2) in the Toronto semi-finals to extend their winning record since Stuttgart to 21-1.
On Friday, they will be looking to win their sixth title of the season so far and their first ATP Masters 1000 trophy together, having previously lost finals in Monte-Carlo and Miami.
Their final opponents Salisbury and Skupski have also seen an impressive run of form over the last few months with the Lexus GB Davis Cup duo having made the final in Paris and quarter-finals at Wimbledon.
The former world No.1s have only dropped one set in Canada during a tight quarter-final victory over top seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic. They then went on to defeat Argentinian pair Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni in the semi-final 7-6(5), 6-4.
Salisbury and Skupski have made four finals together this season but will be hoping this can be their first title of the year so far.
They have previously faced Cash and Glasspool on two occasions this season, losing both matches, including a 6-3, 6-2 defeat in the Doha final.
Four-time major champion Salisbury is the only player of the four to have won the National Bank Open previously – lifting the trophy in 2021 with American Rajeev Ram before their first of three consecutive US Open titles.
Both pairs are currently ranked in the top five of the ATP Doubles Race to the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin.
