How to watch Andy Murray vs Daniil Medvedev in the Qatar Open final

• 2 MINUTE READ

What a week it’s been for Britain’s Andy Murray after the former world No.1 booked a place in his 71st ATP final and his first since June 2022.

In Saturday's final, Murray will face world No.8 Daniil Medvedev for a shot at his 47th career title.

It will be Murray's fourth ATP final since returning to the tour after having hip surgery in 2018. He won his last title in Antwerp back in 2019.

Murray has had to do things the hard way this week, coming through all four of his matches in three-sets. The 35-year-old wild card began his campaign by coming from a set behind to defeat Italy’s Lorenzo Sonego, before going on to shock former world No.2 Alexander Zverev 7-6(5), 2-6, 7-5.

Another three-set thriller against French qualifier Alexandre Muller set up a semi-final clash with Czech star Jiri Lehecka. Murray saved five match points against the world No.52 before sealing the victory in a final set tie-break 6-0, 3-6, 7-6(6).

Murray has won six matches this season, all of which have come down to the deciding set, as the three-time Grand Slam champion continues to find a way to come through the close battles.

Medvedev comes into the final on an eight match winning streak, having lifted the title in Rotterdam last week.

So far in Doha, he's knocked out British star Liam Broady, Christopher O'Connell and Felix Auger-Aliassime to the loss of just one set.

Murray and Medvedev have faced each other twice before - in Brisbane (2019) and Miami (2022) - with the Russian winning on both occassions.
