The second of February’s WTA 1000 events is here, with the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships set to get underway next week.

When is the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2026?

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships is a two week event starting with the WTA 1000 women’s tournament before the ATP 500 men’s competition a week later

Qualifying for the WTA 1000 women’s event gets underway from Friday 13 February, before the main draw between Sunday 15 February and Saturday 21 February.

The ATP 500 men’s tournament will take place between Saturday 21 February and Saturday 28 February.

Where is the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2026 taking place?

One of the most highly anticipated events in the UAE, the tournament will once again be held at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, which has been its home since the first edition in 1993.

The stadium comprises a 5000-capacity show court and has become a hotspot for a range of entertainment over the last three decades.

Which British players are competing at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2026?

Emma Raducanu has direct entry into the WTA 1000 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships this year with the British No.1 currently ranked inside the world’s top 25.

The 24-year-old has had an impressive start to the season so far – reaching her first final since 2021 at the Transylvania Open and making the quarter-finals in Hobart.

Sonay Kartal has also had a strong start to her 2026 campaign and will hope to take another step as she enters qualifying in Dubai. Kartal is back inside the top 50 after quarter-final appearances at the ASB Classic and the WTA 500 Abu Dhabi.

British No.1 Olivia Nicholls is set for the women’s doubles draw with Tereza Mihalikova after the duo reached the Abu Dhabi final.

Jack Draper is currently on the main draw entry list for the ATP 500 event off the back of his return from injury at the Davis Cup.
