Which British players are competing at the Cincinnati Open 2024?

Katie Boulter is the only Brit confirmed for the women’s singles main draw so far. Boulter is currently ranked at world No.33, the 28-year-old is enjoying the best season of her career so far having won her biggest title in San Diego and following it up by retaining the Rothesay Open Nottingham trophy at her home event.

Fresh off the back of a quarter-final doubles appearance on the clay at the Olympics, this will be Boulter’s second hard court event of the US swing so far having picked up results at the National Bank Open as well.

British No.1 Jack Draper will be hoping to bounce back from a first round exit in Montreal as he continues his bid to break into the top 20.

The 22-year-old won his first career ATP title in Stuttgart this season, adding to other strong results in Adelaide (final) and Acapulco (semi-final). His best Grand Slam result came on the hard courts at the US Open last year (fourth round) and it’s a surface where he’ll feel he can do some damage.

Cam Norrie is also on the main draw entry list at the moment but has withdrawn from his last two events at the Olympics and Montreal. Norrie’s last outings saw him make the third round at Wimbledon and second round in Bastad.

Singles qualifying draws are yet to be confirmed.

Five Brits will contest the men’s doubles, including Joe Salisbury, Henry Patten, Neal Skupski, Jamie Murray and Lloyd Glasspool.

Salisbury and American Rajeev Ram were title winners in Cincinnati back in 2022 and have won 12 of their 14 titles together on hard courts.

Patten and Harri Heliovaara will be riding the high of a maiden Grand Slam title at Wimbledon last month, while Skupski and Michael Venus also won back-to-back ATP titles on the grass.

Murray will team up with Croatian Ivan Dodig, while Glasspool plays with Frenchman Ugo Humbert in two different partnerships for this week.

Cincinnati Open prize money
