United Cup 2026: Emma Raducanu & Jack Draper set to join forces for Great Britain
• 2 MINUTE READ
British No.1s Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper are set to team up for Great Britain for the 2026 United Cup from 2-11 January.
The Brits are the first of three teams confirmed for the team event next year – alongside hosts Australia and this year’s runners-up, Poland.
This will be the first time that either Raducanu or Draper have taken in the United Cup, which could see them compete in singles and join forces in mixed doubles.
The tournament will likely be their first stop in the build up to the Australian Open next year, with valuable ranking points available in the mixed team competition.
"I'm honoured to be able to make my United Cup debut in January," said Raducanu. "Being able to play for Team GB with my team-mates is a unique opportunity and week to enjoy.
"It's great to be able to experience a new format on the tour, represent my country and spend a couple extra weeks in Australia."
Draper – who reached world No.4 earlier this season – also added: "I am excited to get back on court and compete in the United Cup. I'll be looking out for the draw to see if Team GB will play in Perth or Sydney.
"I haven't been to either so it will be nice to compete in a brand new city in Australia."
Great Britain reached the quarter-finals earlier this season – finishing top of their group before losing out to Poland.
What is the United Cup?
The United Cup is an international mixed-team event taking place in Perth and Sydney, Australia, to kick-start the season.
Teams qualify for the United Cup based on the combined ranking of their top men's and women's singles player.
18 nations are set to compete in 2026, each team consisting of three women’s and three men’s players.
The tournament starts with a round-robin group stage before progressing to the knock-out rounds. Each tie involves two singles (one men’s and one women’s) and a mixed doubles match.
