• 2 MINUTE READ

We have today announced the entry list for the first event of the 2023 British grass court season, the Lexus Surbiton trophy - led by Sweden’s Mikael Ymer and featuring rising star of British tennis, Jack Draper.

The highly regarded event on the ATP Challenger Tour has once again attracted a host of star players to begin their grass-court seasons, including 13 of the ATP top 100.

Ymer (world No.52) is the top-ranked player entered in 2023, alongside Mackenzie McDonald (world No.55), Draper (world No.58) and Marcos Giron (world No.60).

2022 champion Jordan Thompson of Australia will return to defend his title, alongside other top 100 ATP players, such as Jason Kubler, Alexei Popyrin, Constant Lestienne, Chris Eubanks and Jiri Vesely.

The ITF W100 draw in Surbiton will boast a strong line-up once again this year, with 15 players ranked inside the WTA top 125.

Ukraine’s Anhelina Kalinina (world No.47) is set to feature as the highest ranked player in the draw and will be joined two-time Lexus Surbiton Trophy champion and last year’s Rothesay Open Nottingham runner-up, Alison Riske (world No.89).

Rising star Alycia Parks (world No.49) comes in having won her first career title in Lyon this year alongside a host of other international stars, including Tatjana Maria (world No.63), Madison Brengle (world No.85) and Magdalena Frech (world No.94).

On the British side, Jodie Burrage (world No.106) will star again in Surbiton, where she made the semi-finals last year, before going on to reach the final of the Ilkely Trophy and knock out world No.5 Paula Badosa at the Rothesay International Eastbourne
