Which British players will be competing at the Lexus Nottingham Open 2025?
Women’s
British No.1 Katie Boulter will be looking to win her home tournament for a third straight time this year as the Leicester-native looks to make history at the venue where she grew up playing.
Boulter defeated fellow Brit Jodie Burrage in the 2023 final before going on to clinch a comeback victory over Karolina Pliskova to retain the title last summer. Should she win the event again this year, she would join fellow Brit Elena Baltacha as the only player to win the women’s event three times and she would be the first in either draw to do so in successive years.
Joining Boulter in the main draw will be Sonay Kartal, who has continued her rise up the rankings since reching the third round at Wimbledon and going on to claim her first WTA title in Monastir. Now ranked just outside the WTA top 50, Kartal has established herself on the tour now and earlier this season made the fourth round at Indian Wells.
Men's
Derby's Jay Clarke will have a wild card into the main draw in Nottingham - a reward for an impressive start to his 2025 season.
Clarke recently lifted his fourth career ATP Challenger title in Skopje and has risen back inside the world's top 200.
Who else is competing at the Lexus Nottingham Open 2025?
Women’s
2022 champion Beatriz Haddad Maia returns to Nottingham this summer with her targets set on clinching the title once again. The Brazilian was the standout grass court season player two years ago winning the singles and doubles trophies in Nottingham before going on to lift the title in Birmingham as well.
Two-time Wimbledon champion and former world No.2 Petra Kvitova will be a name to watch this year as she continues her return to the tour following the birth of her son last year,
2020 Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin, 2021 US open runner-up Leylah Fernandez and former Australian Open semi-finalist Elise Mertens will all be strong contenders for this year as well.
Further down the entry list, 2024 Birmingham champion Yulia Putintseva and last year’s Wimbledon breakout star Lulu Sun will be in action.
Men's
Former US Open champio Marin Cilic is the star name on this year's line-up and as a former Queen's Club champion, knows a thing or two about playing and winning matches on the grass.
Italy's Luca Nardi is the top-ranked player on this year's entry list, while France's Arthur Cazaux returns to the tournament where he finished runner-up to Andy Murray in 2023.
2023 Wimbledon quarter-finalist Christopher Eubanks will also feature alongside former junior world No.1s Nicolai Budkov Kjaer and Martin Landaluce.
