Lexus Nottingham Open 2026: Grand Slam champions Barbora Krejcikova & Jelena Ostapenko headline star-studded WTA line-up
• 2 minute read
Former Grand Slam champions Barbora Krejcikova and Jelena Ostapenko are among the world class talent set to compete at this summer’s Lexus Nottingham Open, as the WTA entry list is confirmed by the LTA.
2024 Wimbledon singles champion Krejcikova is set to make her Lexus Nottingham Open debut, as she bids to claim her first WTA title since her triumph at SW19 two years ago. The two-time Grand Slam champion has proven to be a strong performer on grass in recent years and will be among the contenders heading into this year’s tournament.
Meanwhile, 2017 Roland Garros champion Ostapenko will return to the grass eager to make it a hat-trick on the surface. The former world No.5 has lifted trophies at the Lexus Eastbourne Open (2021) and Lexus Birmingham Open (2023).

They will face stiff competition in the form of defending champion McCartney Kessler who beat the likes of Beatriz Haddad Maia, Katie Boulter, Rebecca Sramkova and Dayana Yastremska on her way to a first grass court title last summer.
She's also joined by 2016 Nottingham champion Karolina Pliskova, reigning HSBC Championships winner Tatjana Maria, 2024 Olympic champion Qinwen Zheng and 2021 US Open runner-up Leylah Fernandez who will all be in action at the Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre.
Alongside rising American star Iva Jovic who was announced earlier this month, 18 of the world's top 50 WTA players are set to head to the East Midlands.
