Level 4 - Senior Performance Tennis Coach Qualification

The level 4 Senior Performance Coach qualification is for coaches who work fulltime in a performance environment with 10-14 year old junior national players.

On successful completion of the senior performance coach qualification coaches will be able to:

  • Understand the specific needs of each of their players and create realistic, positive, yet ambitious levels of challenge through excellent coaching skills
  • Deliver high level coaching skills in a performance environment up to national level under 14 players
  • Identify what to coach and when for a national level under 14 player
  • Understand the workings of British Tennis and help and advise colleagues, players, and parents on a wide range of subjects related to performance coaching.

Six modules of three days, plus assessment.

Course pre-requisites

  • Hold either the LTA Level 3 qualification, performance coach qualification, club coach qualification, DCA or a non LTA qualification awarded with NVQ level 2 coaching teaching and instructing tennis
  • Be an Accredited+ Coach
  • Have (or have had) a rating of 4.1 or below or hold a play test grade 3
  • Be working with a player between the ages of 10-14 years who is at junior national level.
