Niall takes Norway title

Niall Pickerd-Barua won his second Tennis Europe Juniors title in as many weeks when he lifted the silverware in the boys’ under-14 tournament in Bergen.
Niall, seeded three, fought back from a set down to beat France’s Charles Rossiloll 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 -the first set in the final the only one he dropped in the whole tournament.
The girls’ competition saw Emma Ketler reach her first semi-final of an international singles event. Emma, who was seeded four, lost to second seed Margot Bouchelaghem of France in the final four.
Tennis Wales Head of Performance Chris Lewis said: “Llongyfarchiadau to Niall and Emma. These were personal best performances for them both which is testament to the improvements they have made this year.”
