As a Top 100 singles/Top 32 doubles player, Neal receives LTA Elite Support.
Reached the semi-finals of the Adelaide International in January and Open Sud de France in March alongside Jamie Murray. Won the Battle of the Brits doubles title alongside Murray – the first behind closed doors tennis event held at the LTA’s National Tennis Centre at the end of June. Returning to the Tour at W&S Open in New York, upset world’s top ranked team of Cabal/Farah where they reached the final. Also made it through to the quarter-finals of the US Open and Roland Garros. Narrowly lost in the final of the St. Petersburg Open 7-6 (5), 7-5 against Marcelo Melo and Łukasz Kubot. Won his first ATP Tour title alongside Jamie Murray at the Sofia Open but just missed out on a place in the ATP Tour Finals.
Alongside brother Ken, won the Hungarian Open (ATP250) in Budapest in April, and reached the finals of the ATP 250’s in Houston (April) and Delray Beach (February). Also won the ATP Challenger Arizona Tennis Classic in March. Reached the second round of the Australian open in January and the semi finals of the mixed doubles in Melbourne alongside Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez. Announced as Jamie Murray’s new doubles partner following the French Open. Made Davis Cup debut in Madrid in November, playing a key role in getting Britain to the SF where they fell 76 76 to eventual champions Spain in deciding doubles to Nadal/Lopez.
