November

Looking to defend their title at the Rolex Paris Masters, Skupski and Koolhof fell short in their quarter-final match against Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Santiago Gonzalez, 6-4, 6-4.

Competing in their last tournament together as a partnership, Skupski and Koolhof headed to the Nitto ATP Finals where they bowed out in the group stages after losing two of their three matches.

Skupski was once again called up to represent Great Britain at the Davis Cup Final 8 in Malaga.

September

Skupski was selected to represent the Lexus Great Britain Davis Cup team at the Group Stages in Manchester. Skupski joined forces with Dan Evans for the doubles rubbers, with the pair winning two of their three matches - including an unforgettable 2-1 victory over France where Skupski and Evans pulled off a comeback win to send the Brits to the Final 8 in Malaga in November.

August

Top seeds Skupski and Wesley Koolhof overcame a tough battle with former world No.1 duo Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah 7-6(2), 1-6, 6-3 to reach the third round.

The world No.1 closed out his US Open preparations by reaching the final of Winston-Salem with fellow Brit Lloyd Glasspool, but finished runners-up to Jackson Withrow and Nathaniel Lammons 6-3, 6-4.

July

Having come into Wimbledon as the top seeds, Skupksi and Koolhof clinched their first Grand Sam men's doubles title together. In the final they defeated Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos 6-4, 6-4, making Skupski the first British player to win the title since Jonathan Marray in 2012.

The win also saw the pair return to world No.1 in the rankings.

Reigning Wimbledon mixed doubles champions Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk lost out to Joran Vliegan and Yifan Xu 4-6, 7-6(8), 6-4 in the first round.

June

The world No.1 then went on to make the quarter-final at Roland Garros alongside Koolhof. The duo enjoyed a strong run before bowing out to Horacio Zeballos and Marcel Granollers 6-3, 7-6(4).

The pair kicked off their grass court season with a winning start, after the clinched the doubles title at s'-Hertogenbosch. After breezing through the opening rounds, Skupski and Koolhof faced Aleksandr Nedovyesov and Gonzalo Escobar, with the first seeds wrapping up the title 7-6(1), 6-2.

The British, Dutch duo then moved on to the cinch Championships where they made it to the semi-final of the doubles event before missing out on a spot in the final to singles stars Taylor Frtiz and Jiri Lehecka 6-3, 7-6(4). 

May

The British, Dutch duo made their second ATP 1000 semi-final of the season at the Italian Open, where they fought through three rounds before eventually losing to Robin Haase and Botic van de Zandschlup

April 

Skupski and Koolhof's search for a first title continued after they were knocked out in the quarter-final of the Monte Carlo masters by Germany's Andreas Mies and France's Fabrice Martin, 5-7, 6-3, 10-7.

The British, Dutch duo continued to kick on in tournaments - making it to the final of the Barcelona Open where they finished runners-up after narrowly missing out to Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni 6-3, 6-7(8), 10-4.

March

Skupski and Koolhof then headed to Acapulco where they found themselves narrowly missing out on a spot in the final after a 6-4, 4-6, 10-4 semi-final defeat to Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler.

The British, Dutch duo finished runners up in Indian Wells, having defeated Santiago Gonzalez and Edouard Roger-Vasselin 6-3, 4-6, 10-5 in the semi-final. Skupski and Koolhof came within touching distance of their fourth Master's 1000 title together but were pipped to the post by Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden who defeated the top seeds 6-3, 2-6, 10-8 in the final.

Skupski and Koolhof then headed to the Miami Open where they reached the quarter-finals before bowing out to Santiago Gonzalez (MEX) and Edouard Roger-Vasselin (FRA) 4-6, 7-6(5), 10-5.

February

Skupski was selected to represent Great Britian in the Davis Cup qualifying tie against Colombia. During the Qualifiers, Skupski joined forces with Dan Evans for the doubles rubber where they defeated former world number ones Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah 6-4 6-4 to help send Great Britain through to the Davis Cup Finals group stages.

January

Skuspki began his year with a run to the semi-final of the Adelaide International 2 event, where he and Koolhof bowed out to Dodig and Krajicek. 

Skupski and Koolhof made it to the quarter-final of the men's double event at the Australian Open before being knocked out by eventual champions Rinky Hijikata and Jason Kubler 6-3, 6-1. Skupski also competed in the mixed doubles event alongside Desirae Krawcyzk where they lost out on a spot in the finals in a three set defeat by Rohan Bopanna and Sania Mirza.

November

The British, Dutch duo claimed their seventh title of the season, and third Masters trophy at the Rolex Paris Masters - beating Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek 7-6(5), 6-3 in the final. The victory means they finish the season as the top doubles pair in the world.

Skupski and Koolhof entered the Nitto ATP Finals as first seeds, where they won two out of their three Round Robin matches to advance to the semi-finals. There, the world No.1’s went head-to-head against the in-form Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram but lost in straight sets in a 7-6(7), 6-4 defeat.

September

He was named in Great Britain's Davis Cup Finals squad in Glasgow and played one tie with Joe Salisbury - beating Alexander Bublik and Aleksandr Nedovyesov 7-6(2), 6-7(9), 7-6(4).

August

Skupski and Koolhof won their sixth tour-level title of the season at the National Bank Open following their 6-2, 4-6, 10-6 win over Dan Evans and John Peers. Their victory in Montreal marked their second Masters title together.

The pair were on the cusp of adding their first Grand Slam to their lengthy list of accolades at the US Open but fell short at the final hurdle after suffering a 7-6(4), 7-5 defeat to fellow Brit Joe Salisbury and his partner Rajeev Ram.

July 

Skupski had doubles delight in the mixed doubles as he and Desirae Krawcyzk defended their Wimbledon title with a straight-sets victory over Australia’s Matthew Ebden and Sam Stosur. Following his second consecutive Wimbledon crown, the Liverpudlian became the first British player to defend a title since John Lloyd in 1984, and alongside his American counterpart, together they became the first mixed doubles side to defend a title since 1997.

In the men’s doubles, Skupski and Koolhof progressed to the third round before falling short against the soon to be crowned champions, Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell.

June 

The British, Dutch team won four match tie-breaks to lift their fifth title of the season and first on grass in s'Hertogenbosch.

May

Skupski and Koolhof bagged their fourth title of the year after a sensational display in the Madrid Open final, defeating Colombian partnership, Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah, 6-7(4), 6-4, 10-5 to earn their first ever ATP Masters trophy.

The pair overcame Rohan Bopanna and Matwe Middelkoop to book themselves a spot in the quarter-finals of the Internazionali d’Italia. Drawing Croatian side Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic; they eventually suffered a 6-4, 6-4 defeat.

April 

Skupski and Koolhof were named runners-up of the Barcelona Open after a titanic tussle that saw the pair just miss out on the title after their 6(3)-7, 7-6(5), 10-6 defeat to Germany’s Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies.

March 

Skupski returned to Indian Wells, marking his third appearance in the tournament. Skupski and Koolhof defeated Federico Delbonis and Cameron Norrie, 6-3, 7-6(1) in the last 16 but were eventually defeated by Joe Salisbury and his partner, Rajeev Ram in the quarter-finals.

In their first ATP Masters semi-final together, Skupski and Koolhof moved within touching distance of the Miami Open title, defeating Italian double-act, Fabio Fognini and Simone Bolelli 6-1, 3-6, 10-5. However, the British, Dutch duo sadly fell short of their biggest win to date, losing 7-6(5), 6-4 to America’s John Isner, and Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz.

February

Their dominant start to the season continued in Doha as they won their third trophy in two months at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open. They defeated Rohan Bopanna and Denis Shapovalov 7-6(4), 6-1 in the final.

January

Skupski joined up with new partner Wesley Koolhof to start the season and went unbeaten in both the ATP events they played in preparation for the Australian Open. The pair only lost one set as they claimed titles at the Melbourne Summer Set and Adelaide.

The British Dutch duo then moved on to the Australian Open - reaching the quarter-finals before being knocked out by Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell.

Playing with his brother, Ken, they claimed the Acapulco ATP 500 title in March, defeating his previous partner Jamie Murray and fellow compatriot Joe Salisbury on the way. Partnering with Dan Evans for both ATP Masters in Monte Carlo and Miami they fell to the world no.1 pairing Pavic and Mektic.

In July, Skupski won his first Grand Slam title when he and Desirae Krawczyk lifted the mixed doubles trophy after beating Joe Salisbury and Harriet Dart. He then went on to compete in the men's doubles at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games alongside Murray.

Skupski reached the final of the ATP 500 event in Washington with Michael Venus and then won his second men's doubles title of the season, teaming up with Salisbury to be crowned champions at the ATP 250 San Diego.

Reached the semi-finals of the Adelaide International in January and Open Sud de France in March alongside Jamie Murray. Won the Battle of the Brits doubles title alongside Murray – the first behind closed doors tennis event held at the LTA’s National Tennis Centre at the end of June. Returning to the Tour at W&S Open in New York, upset world’s top ranked team of Cabal/Farah where they reached the final. Also made it through to the quarter-finals of the US Open and Roland Garros. Narrowly lost in the final of the St. Petersburg Open 7-6 (5), 7-5 against Marcelo Melo and Łukasz Kubot. Won his first ATP Tour title alongside Jamie Murray at the Sofia Open but just missed out on a place in the ATP Tour Finals.

Alongside brother Ken, won the Hungarian Open (ATP250) in Budapest in April, and reached the finals of the ATP 250’s in Houston (April) and Delray Beach (February). Also won the ATP Challenger Arizona Tennis Classic in March. Reached the second round of the Australian open in January and the semi finals of the mixed doubles in Melbourne alongside Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez. Announced as Jamie Murray’s new doubles partner following the French Open. Made Davis Cup debut in Madrid in November, playing a key role in getting Britain to the SF where they fell 76 76 to eventual champions Spain in deciding doubles to Nadal/Lopez.
