Head of Junior Tennis
As Head of Junior Tennis, you'll lead and inspire one of the club's most important programmes, creating an exceptional experience for every child, from those picking up a racket for the first time to aspiring performance players.
You'll be responsible for developing and delivering a clear player pathway that encourages long-term participation, skill development and a lifelong love of tennis. Working alongside a passionate coaching team, you'll ensure every session is engaging, progressive and tailored to the needs of each player.
You'll work closely with parents to support each child's journey, celebrating progress and helping every player achieve their potential.
As a leader, you'll coach, mentor and develop the junior coaching team, driving high standards, consistency and innovation across the programme. You'll use insight and performance data to grow participation, improve retention and continually enhance the member experience.
What you'll be responsible for:
Leading and delivering an outstanding junior tennis programme.
Creating clear player development pathways from beginner through to performance.
Inspiring children to develop confidence, resilience and a lifelong passion for tennis.
Planning and delivering competitions, tournaments and memorable club events.
Developing and mentoring the coaching team to deliver exceptional coaching experiences.
Building strong relationships with parents and ensuring excellent communication throughout each player's journey.
Growing participation, retention and junior membership through innovative programming.
Maintaining the highest standards of safety, safeguarding and coaching quality.
Collaborating with the wider club team to create a vibrant family and community atmosphere.
What we're looking for:
An enthusiastic and inspiring tennis professional with a passion for junior development.
Proven experience leading or delivering successful junior tennis programmes.
A strong understanding of long-term player development and competition pathways.
Excellent leadership, organisation and communication skills.
Someone who thrives on creating memorable experiences for children and families.
LTA Accredited Coach (or working towards the appropriate accreditation) with a commitment to continued professional development.

LTA Accredited Coach (Level 3 or above) with an up-to-date DBS and safeguarding certification.
Proven experience delivering high-quality junior tennis programmes.
A passion for inspiring children and helping players of all ages and abilities reach their potential.
Strong understanding of player development pathways and long-term athlete development.
Experience planning and delivering competitions, tournaments and engaging tennis events.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a team.
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
Highly organised with strong planning and time management skills.
Commercial awareness with the ability to grow participation and retain members.
Committed to delivering exceptional customer service and member experiences.
Flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends as required.
