Shanghai Masters schedule
The 12-day long event will get underway on Monday 29 September with the qualifying stages.
The main draw of the Rolex Shanghai Masters will start on Wednesday 2 October through to the men’s singles and doubles finals on Sunday 12 October.
Where is the Shanghai Masters taking place?
The Rolex Shanghai Masters is held at the Qizhong Tennis Centre – a world-class sporting complex located in the Minhang District of Shanghai.
The venue was specially created to host the ATP Finals between 2005 - 2008 and is the largest tennis venue in Asia. The state-of-the-art complex boasts 25 indoor and outdoor courts, with the main stadium holding a seating capacity of over 15,000.
Who are the reigning Shanghai Masters champions?
- Men’s singles – Jannik Sinner (ITA)
- Men’s doubles – Wesley Koolhof (NED) & Nikola Mektic (CRO)
Sinner defeated four-time former champion Novak Djokovic in the 2024 final 7-6(4), 6-3 to lift the title for the first time.
Koolhof and Mektic overcame Argentinian duo Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni 6-4, 6-4 in the men's doubles final.

Which British players are competing at the Shanghai Masters 2025?
Cam Norrie is set to lead the British charge at the Rolex Shanghai Masters – coming in as the 30th seed and guaranteeing a bye into the second round.
Norrie was recently in action for the Lexus GB Davis Cup team, winning both of his rubbers to secure a 3-1 victory over Poland in a World Group I tie. The British No.2 has played his best tennis in the big events this season – making the quarter-finals at Wimbledon, fourth round at Roland Garros and the third round at the US Open – and will be hoping to replicate that form in Shanghai.
Jacob Fearnley is also on the entry list for the event but was recently forced to withdraw from the Davis Cup tie against Poland with injury.
In qualifying, Billy Harris will be aiming to reach the main draw for the second season in a row. Harris recently won his first ATP Challenger singles title in Cassis.

Former British champions at the Shanghai Masters
Andy Murray is one of the most successful players in the history of the Rolex Shanghai Masters – winning the title three times (2010, 2011 and 2016) since it became an ATP Masters 1000 event in 2009. Only Djokovic has won more (four).
