Padel experience heads to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix

Padel heads for the fast-lane this weekend as we bring one of the world’s fastest growing sport to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix.

From Thursday 6 July to Sunday 9 July, we’ll be hosting a pop-up padel experience for fans to come and play with friends, family and some very special guests…

Featuring at one of the biggest race weekends in the F1 calendar – the experience aims to introduce new audiences of all ages and abilities to the sport and encourage more people to pick up a racket and play at their nearest courts.

The court is based in the Family Zone at the Silverstone circuit throughout the weekend and will feature guest appearances from some of the biggest names in British padel – including British No.1 Tia Norton, Louie Harris, Catherine Rose, Aimee Gibson and Francis Langan.

The British stars will also be taking to the Drivers Inn stage each morning to give fans a fun padel-based warm-up to kick-start the day.

Our Advantage members were recently entered into a competition for the chance to win a Padel x Silverstone Grand Prix experience – with the lucky winners joining us on site throughout the weekend to play alongside the pros and get tickets to watch all the F1 action.

Padel is a very popular sport among many of the drivers on the grid. Ferrari stars Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz have been known to play against each other in their spare time away from the racetrack – as featured in the Netflix series, ‘Drive to Survive’. Padel fever has taken over at many of the other teams as well, with McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar PIastri also big fans of the sport, as well as two-time champion Fernando Alonso and American Logan Sargent.

Padel, an innovative form of tennis - it's fun, easy to learn and extremely sociable, which has seen its popularity booming in recent years amongst players of all ages and abilities.
