Mika Stojsavljevic achieves LTA Colour Holder status with Billie Jean King Cup debut

• 1 minute read

17-year-old Mika Stojsavljevic has achieved her LTA Colour Holder status after making her Billie Jean King Cup debut against Australia.

Stojsavljevic was called up for the singles rubber in the Lexus GB Billie Jean King Cup team’s clash against Australia in the Qualifiers at the John Cain Arena at Melbourne Park.

The rising Brit had a debut to remember after securing a 7-6(4), 7-5 win over Talia Gibson in the first singles match of the tie to give her nation an early lead.

Stojsavljevic will become Colour Holder No.334.

LTA Colour Holders acknowledges, recognises and celebrates players, past and present, who have represented Great Britain in the Davis Cup, Billie Jean King Cup and Wheelchair Tennis World Team Cup, as well as at the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

Like a ‘cap’ that a player receives playing for their country in either football or rugby, when a player has competed for Great Britain in tennis, they receive a Colour.

Stojsavljevic earned her first call up to the Billie Jean King Cup team off the back of an impressive year on the ITF Tour.

Stojsavljevic was one of the standout British junior stars over the last few years. The London-native made headlines in 2024 when she became the first British player to win the US Open girls’ singles title in 15 years.

From there, she went on to enjoy a memorable 2025 season, highlighted by lifting the W35 Birmingham singles title and reached the final of the Lexus Wrexham Open. She also made her Wimbledon main draw debut in July.

Stojsavljevic - who is supported by the LTA Pro Scholarship Programme presented by Lexus - is currently sat at a career-high ranking of world No.334.
