Choinski wins second title of the year
Jan Choinski has claimed his second ATP Challenger title of the month after winning the Bunschoten Challenger event in the Netherlands.
This victory comes off the back of Choinski winning his first title of the year at the Troyes Challenger just a couple of weeks ago.
During his run to the final, the British No.6 secured straight set wins over Manvydas Balciunas, Matej Dodig and Benjamin Hassan before edging past Guy Den Ouden in a three set battle in the semi-final.
In the final, Choinski managed to come through a tight match against Belgium’s Kimmer Coppejans to win 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 and secure his second title of the season.
Broom seals victory in Portugal
Charles Broom wrapped his hands around a second ITF crown of the year after the 27-year-old stormed to the M25 title in Castelo Branco.
Broom - who won his first title of the year on home soil at the M25 Nottingham in May - was a dominant force in Portugal and didn’t drop a single set across the five matches he played at the M25 event.
After sailing through to the final, Broom capped off an impressive week with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over American Maxwell McKennon.
Broom now has seven ITF singles and 15 doubles titles to his name.
Doubles stars claim ITF victory
It was a week of doubles delight across the globe, with plenty of Brits bringing home the silverware on the ITF Tour.
Starting off on home soil at the W50 Nottingham, Amelia Rajecki and Victoria Allen fought through a stacked British draw on their way to sealing a first doubles title together.
In the final, Rajecki and Allen came through in a tight match against fellow British duo Naiktha Bains and Holly Hutchinson, winning 6-4, 4-6, 10-6.
Elsewhere, Ben Jones continued his momentum on the ITF circuit as he hauled his fourth doubles title of the year alongside America’s James Hopper at the M15 event in Monastir.
The pair eased through to the final where they set up a meeting against British brothers Billy Blaydes and Freddy Blayde. After dropping a tight opening set in the tie-break, Jones and Hopper fought back to eventually claim a 6-7(4), 6-4, 10-4 victory to seal their first title together.
Meanwhile in South Africa, Luc Koenig joined forces with home favourite Devin Badenhorst to lift their third consecutive ITF doubles title at the M15 Hillcrest.
The British, South African pair rounded off another strong week in South African with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Gerard Henning and Philip Henning to extend their win streak to 12 matches..
Koenig also fought through two rounds of qualifying to reach the quarter-finals of the singles draw in Hillcrest.
Wheelchair duo narrowly miss out on titles
On the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour, Andrew Penney and Lucy Shuker both found themselves in doubles final action at the Flanders 25 ITF 3 tournament in Belgium.
Starting off with the Flanders 25 ITF 3 tournament in Belgium, Penney teamed up with Austria’s Maximilian Taucher to reach their first men’s doubles final together after defeating Korean second seeds Sung-Bong Han and Ho Won Im.
The unseeded British-Austrian recovered from 8-2 down in the match deciding tie-break but were unable to get over the line against duo Robin Groenewoud and Martin Ter Hofte as the top seeds took the title 6-3, 4-6, (10-8).
Shuker joined forces with Israel's Maayan Zikri for the women's doubles draw where the Brit found herself in an eighth women's doubles final of the year. However, Shuker lost out on the chance to clinch a fifth doubles trophy this season as the pair were beaten by Luoyao Guo and Katharina Kruger 6-3, 6-2.
