Three-time Grand Slam champion and former world No.1 Andy Murray is set to join Jack Draper’s coaching team ahead of the 2026 grass court season.
The British No.2 announced that Murray would join him throughout the summer period until Wimbledon, after parting ways with coach Jamie Delgado.
This will be Murray’s second coaching role since retirement, having previously supported Novak Djokovic last year.
"I am very grateful for everything Jamie Delgado has done for me over these past six months,” said Draper. “He is a world-class coach and a great man.
"In the interim, I will continue to be supported by the excellent team at the LTA, with the addition of Andy Murray, who will be supporting me throughout the grass-court season."
Draper has previously discussed the impact that Murray had on his career growing up and the role he played in inspiring British players of his age.
They also played together during the latter part of Murray’s career at the 2023 Davis Cup Finals in Manchester, and even faced each other in Indian Wells that same year.
Murray will look to support Draper as he aims to return from injury on the grass. Draper only played one match after Wimbledon last season and missed the Australian Open in January with a bone bruise.
Having made his comeback and defeating Djokovic in a quarter-final run in Indian Wells, the Brit suffered another setback in Barcelona, which led him to withdraw from Roland Garros.
A former semi-finalist at the HSBC Championships, Draper is already scheduled to play at The Queen’s Club again this summer, a tournament his new coach knows all to well as a five-time singles champion.
Draper has strong pedigree on the grass as a former Stuttgart champion and Eastbourne semi-finalist as well, and will be hoping to get back to his best this summer.
